Doesn't get cold enough. Will not keep icecream frozen although feels cold. Had serviced and they said nothing wrong, REALLY?! Any ideas on how to fix.
Will it freeze water? The vent coming into the freezer may be blocked. Check that and see. Is the refrigerator keeping those items cool? You may also have a vent blocked by the fan cover (dusty). If all this is right, you may have a freon leak or worse a compressor or evaporator going bad.

Check along the back and sides of the freezer for any vent-like openings that are covered or blocked by packages. There may be a sensor that's not getting air flow as it should. Although most upright freezers are now frost free, there still can be ice buildup in critical areas such as the thermal sensor or the fan. Can you tell if the fan is running?
Even if the compressor has failed, your frozen items will keep the temp down for several days. I suggest you move the frozen goods to a neighbor immediately. Meat or fish in particular quickly becomes unsafe to eat without at least refrigeration.
Sounds like one or more of your defrost components are bad. Those components are defrost heater, defrost thermostat, and defrost timer or board depending on model.
Check the temperature setting to ensure at least the one-half way mark. If o.k., then you could have a refrigerant or compressor-related problem. Contact an appliance service company.
Is your circulating fan working?
Sometimes they stick and need a shot of WD 40 and then work
it back and forth a little until it wants to take off again. Keep me informed
and PLEASE give a Thumbs Up for the effort. The Raz Shack
if it a frost free freezer then chances are it is a defrost hearter, fan motor or defrost timer
if it is not frost free then it will either be the compressor or a gas leak ( which should be under warranty)
