SOURCE: Putting film into nikon f60

It is fairly simple. Insert the film canister with the hole side (not the projection) down. Insert the spool of the camera into this hole and slide the canister inside the chamber. Now pull the film out slightly so that the leader (the narrow portion at the end of the film) aligns with the orange mark at the lower right end of the film chamber. Make sure there is no slack in the film. Close the door and turn on the camera.

SOURCE: Don't know how to open door latch on nikon 35mm SLR camera

You haven't stated which model you have, but generally most SLR's open by pulling upwards on the film rewind crank (the knob on the left side of the top-plate as viewed from behind). If this doesn't work then add the exact model as a comment to my answer and I'll try to give you specific instructions for your model.

SOURCE: how do I change the shutter speed on a Nikon EM

The EM doesn't really have a manual shutter speed setting. It does have a Bulb setting for long exposures and a 1/90 second manual for flash, but otherwise the camera automatically sets the shutter speed to go with the currently selected aperture.

Normally you would set the aperture and let the camera set the shutter speed. You can adjust the shutter speed by pressing the exposure compensation button for +2 stops. You can also adjust the exposure by changing the ASA/ISO setting.

If you need a manual, you can download one from http://butkus.org/chinon/nikon/nikon_em/nikon_em.htm

How do i advance the film to the next frame in my Nikon N65

The Nikon N65 has a built-in film advance (power winder) so all you need to do is take a photo and it should advance. If no, the film isn't loaded properly or the drive is broken.

I am a novice photographer, have a nikon 2020 af for 15yrs & it just stopped taking pics. Everything else works

did you clean all contacts? never use anything sharp in or closet to a camera. To clean contacts in a camera and on the batteries, just use a dry cloth and a cotton swab. My 20 year old camera's (same brand and a canon) still work as the first day I used them. they are always stored dry and without a battery, when I don't use the for a longer period.
Recheck the manual (yes most manuals from Nikon are still online) if you did setup the camera correct.

I am confused. Is the N 75 an SLR or 35 mm. My daughter needs a 35 mm for a photography course. She has an N 75.

Both. The Nikon N75 is a 35mm SLR camera. 35mm refers to the size of the film the camera uses. SLR (single-lens-reflex) refers to the design of the camera, which uses the same lens for both viewing and photographing, the film sees the same image you see in the viewfinder.

There are other 35mm cameras that are not SLRs. Likewise, there are SLRs that use other sizes of film.

Nikon f100 film won't advance

We will assume you know how to load the film to the red mark. If the film is not advancing a couple of things could be happening. When you close the back door it is not engaging the film to hold it against the take-up spool. If so then that needs to be fixed. The other thing to check is the left side where the film cartridge goes in, does it turn. If not it is binding the film cartridge. Nikon Film 1-800-645-6687

Set the film advance mode selector to L.

While sliding film rewind lever, push film rewind button.

more info on the type of film. Some mail order 35 mm film is actually 35mm Movie film and therefore is not really intended for 35mm still cameras. I have seen this problem with these types of film.

If the switches and contacts are dirty that would do it. If that happens the cost of service may exced the cost of buying a used one.

Problem with loading film in my Nikon F60.

Draw the film all the way to the receiving spool. There's an 'eye' inside the film compartment to check that the film is loaded. When the film is not correctly loaded the camera thinks it's empty and rewinds the film.
