Noisy Landice Treadmill

I bought this treadmill used about 2 years ago, and it has been excellent for holding and providing many continuous hours of flawless operation and speed. However, it has always been extremely loud and the noise is localized to the motor. Does anyone have any idea if there is something that I could replace or repair to eliminate the noise? Thanks!!

It could be the bearings or it could be the brushes are worn out and need to be replaced. normally it would be the front roller that needs to oiled or replaced. I suggest having a fitness equipment repairman come out and see and hear the unit. it cost very little and is worth the investment

SOURCE: Landice L7 gives me a L5 reading on the screen

Your L7 error looks like L5 , but its really LS which mean lost signal. Unplug unit take motor shroud off then plug unit back in wall outlet. When looking in front unit you will see a Motor control board and there are LED lit up one of them should be an amber light this is you speed sensor which is attached to the top of your motor. Manually rotate the fly wheel and see if that light flickers if it does then your speed sensor is working properly if not replace speed sensor. The next thing to look at is the motor brushes to if they are worn unplug unit you should see slitted caps on both side of motor remove them if they are less than 3/8" they need replacing. That for the most parts should take of your problem. Call Landice @ 1800-526-3423 have the serial# handy their on all the components in the unit

Landice L7 Problems. It runs fine until drops below 2 miles per hour and then it stops for 2 or 3 seconds and starts back up for 2 or 3 seconds.

It sounds like you normal routine has made the motor hot and then when you slow down the residual heat is causing the motor to cut out. Check the vents in the motor for fluff or blockage.

My Landice L7 treadmill for home use races to speed when I turn it on. I cannot control the speed, it just increases automatically to top speed.

There could be a few different things causing your Landice L7 treadmill to race to top speed when turned on. Here are some potential causes and solutions:
  1. Motor Control Board: The motor control board may be malfunctioning and sending the treadmill into top speed automatically. If this is the case, you will need to replace the motor control board.
  2. Console Board: The console board may be sending incorrect signals to the motor control board, causing the treadmill to race to top speed. If this is the case, you will need to replace the console board.
  3. Speed Sensor: The speed sensor may be malfunctioning and sending incorrect signals to the motor control board. If this is the case, you will need to replace the speed sensor.
  4. Calibration: The treadmill may be out of calibration, causing it to race to top speed. To recalibrate the treadmill, consult your owner's manual for instructions.
It's recommended to consult with a qualified technician to diagnose and fix the issue to avoid causing further damage or injury.

You need to get someone out to look at it. Noise issues are rarely able to be diagnosed remotely.
