Received fuser error u4-1. Replaced fuser, and still get same error

Replaced maintenance kit Phaser 5500, as i received a fuser error. U4-1. Once replaced the error remained. Any ideas?

Try to hard reset your printer. To do this, unplug the cord at the rear of the printer while still powered on. Then remove it the plug from the socket. Let it sit for a few minutes. Then, plug the power cord and then reattach the cord at the back. The printer should power on itself, if not just power it on manually by pressing the power button.

Doing the hard reset should clear off any error messages from your printer's memory.

You would have to replace the fuser to resolve that code.

Here is the instructions to reset the fuser maintenance count:

HP Color LaserJet 5500/5550 Maintenance Code Reset Instructions
  1. Press the ? button until the display reads "CONFIGURE DEVICE" and press ?.
  2. Press the ? button until the display reads "RESETS" and press ?.
  3. Press the ? button until the display reads "RESET SUPPLIES" and press ?.
  4. Press the ? button until the display reads "FUSER" and press ?
This should reset your printer and clear the error message.

To reset fuser status, on the printer:

1. Press the "Menu" button
2. Navigate to "Configure Device"
3. Select "Reset Supplies"
3. Select "New Fuser Kit"

After doing so, the printer will reset the count on the fuser.

Xerox 5500 jaming at tray 3 and 2 constantly

There are mylar guide strips that get bent if paper is misloaded and the drawer is shut. Otherwise you need new paper feed rollers, which are part of the fuser maintenance kit.

Phaser 8560 smudging problem

previous image on a copy are from two things
1-the blanking lamps that erase the image from the drum from the previous copy, and making it ready for the next image is bad

2- the fuser roller is bad and retaining the image on it.
