Re: Accidentally hit the video button on the remote and...
Hold the power button down and simultaneously unplug the DVD player. This will restore the factory settings. I did the same things and it took me all day to figure this one out. Cheers!
Well, I have found that if you press the wrong button and you press it again, it seems that this would reverse the problem as well. Well, I have found that if you press the wrong button and you press it again, it seems that this would reverse the problem as well.

This sounds like you accidentally hit the input button on your remote. It will either be INPUT or SOURCE on you remote. Turn on your TV and source(cable box) and hit one of those buttons until your picture comes back
Did you find a solution, I have the same problem with my Emerson TV. Same color pattern loop. Tech support was no help and TV is just 3 months out of warranty.
you have to change color system of dvd(ntsc, pal,) normally dvd remote will p/n button..press it to change color system,,otherwise u have to change color system of ur tv
hello on the remote control it should say tv if you press it .it should take you back to normal view . or if you keep pressing that button and go through all the channels it should bring you back to normal tv
for the black and white screen output of your DVD and VCR.
1) for DVD player: using remote control locate "setup" button and click.a dialogue box should appear indicating " audio setup" video setup" etc..... 2) select and scroll to "video setup". in video setup there should be an option to choose "AUTO" "PAL" or "NTSC" 3) choose "auto" then check if any change in screen color.
for VCR, locate a switch or button indicating "PAL" "Auto""PAL SECAM" "NTSC". same with the dvd choose and select "auto"
note: if you still have the manual for both VCR and DVD check the instruction with regards to video color setting.
I had the same problem. Thought the unit was trashed. But the solution was so simple. There is a button on the remote PS/IS. Just press this button and the problem is solved.
