I bought my card to put music onto, i downloaded music onto it via adapter, but now i can't figure out how to assign music to text message alerts and such. Could someone PLEASE help me?
You have to go into the "My Audios" folder on the phone to access the card tunes. (Menu > 4(Multimedia) > 6(Audios)) for a shortcut. Once you are in the folder, move the highlight to the song you want as a ring tone. Now hit (Options > 6(Move/Copy) > 1(Move)). Now the little icon by the song will be a picture of a speaker without a memory card in front of it. (If it has a memory card icon, it is still on the card) It is on the phone's internal memory now so you can push (Options > Set As > Ringtone/Ringer ID/Message Alerts). You should be good to go!
Oh, sorry I have the U.S. Cellular version of the phone. Each provider has different software for the phone so how to get to the music menu is different. I'm assuming you have the sprint version and for that you can do either of the following:
1) to change a single contact, go to Contacts, select a contact, edit, contact, select ringer, and find the tone you want.
2) to change your default tone, go to menu, settings and tools, settings, sound, ringer type, my albums, memory card. From there you should be able to find your song and apply it as whatever.
This should work on the Sprint LG. Hope this helps, but every company has different software they put on the same phone.
Good Luck!
