Yea u gotta turn it off from your system menu via Remote

I would either call JVC to see if known issue or to inquire if set has a lockout feature that kills remote and all button features----other possible reason in main board with all micro functions has a problem.

Check the connection strip from T'Con board to LCD panel for any loose contact, at the connection point. If this connection is OK, replace its T'Con [Timing Control] board, with same number.

Cable system is grounded to electrical system. Most electronics have fuses inside. Open it up and look for blown fuse.

hi,you need to auto search first your your t.v set if nothing happen possible defect is the tuner.

1. Hold [menu] and [vol-] button on the side of the TV
2. while holding these, press the [power] button on the side of TV (NOT remote)
3. blue light comes ON and stays ON
4. wait 10 seconds then let go of [menu] and [vol-]
5. wait another 30 seconds and some type of picture should appear

I think this is right. I got it from the JVC call centers guys so sorry if I missed or messed up a step.

You most definately have bad capacitors in the power supply. try and get it repaired as soon as possible, not an expensive repair that iv'e seen.
