How to fix a Bosch Sensixx B7 faulty Spray function.

Thanks for that Tim, very useful indeed. Siri did well, but there were two typos which I fixed 'price', to 'prise' and 'stripey' to 'stripy'.

These videos may have been helpful for Sensixx and may have been the ones you watched.

Thanks again, much appreciated.

My new vaporella 650 steam iron is making my clothes wet whilst ironing as it drips water constantly

Clothes are very difficult to iron when they are fully dry or over-dried in the dryer. Over-dried clothes are resistant to reshaping, which it exactly what ironing is. Removing clothes when they are still slightly damp will make ironing much easier. If you line-dry your clothes, bring them inside to iron when they are not quite dry.

The bottom of my rowenta focus has a burnt grainy film on it. How do I clean it and prevent it from happening again. I've only used it approx 4 times but it is over a year old.

Rowenta FOCUS STEAM IRON DZ5164 DZ5164U1 user manuals
will give their specific instructions.

Rowenta has a kit, including a paste cleaner for iron soleplates, available from Amazon.

Home made cleaners include a paste of baking soda and vinegar. Rub on, let sit, and wipe with a wet cloth. (Some add a drop or two of dawn dishwashing liquid)

Another home made cleaner is the Mr. Clean Magic eraser, thoroughly wet, and rubbed over the soleplate.

Make sure to wipe the soleplate with a clean wet cloth at the end to remove cleaning residue.

Clean your iron's soleplate while the iron is cold, and don't use something scratchy like a steel wool pad, to avoid scratching the surface.

Wet steam coming out of iron

You have to take part the iron by unscrewing the three bolts on the side handle with a small phillips driver. Then loose the allen screw on one side of the black thermostat wheel to unloosen it. Then take out the two bolt plastic protectors under the handle and unscrew the two allen bolts, carefully separate the top from the botton of the iron, carefully not to pry loose the cables from the top to the hot shoe.
On the back you will see a small white square box, that is the thermostat, which has a button on top, all you need to do is to push it in. This will make the iron heat up unless you have a thermostat failure (Black wheel with temperature indicators), which you will need to order the part and change it.

Iron leaks water everytime i iron

The seal has perished. I have tried repairing before but never with any success. My advice is to not use the iron as a steam iron any more, or just save yourself the headache of trying to hassle with it and just buy a replacement.

Water drips out of steam holes

I suspect that by placing it on its heel rest the water from the tank is not allowed to enter into the steam chamber and when you go into ironing mode there is a rush of water that is cooling down the sole plate to below steaming temperature. Try keeping it in the horizontal position on a heat proof pad and press the steam button just before going into ironing mode.
