open the hedge on the top, take out the cartridges, take out the cartridge sledge, clean it carefull, put all back again and restart the printer and see if that helps

What happens if you press and hold that blinking led for 5-10 seconds?

Do you get an error message or not?

My Canon pixma ip 4000 won´t print. The light at the turn on button blinks five times orange and then comes one green blink. I have tried to clean the print head but that didn´t change anything....

this indicates a the print head is not installed correctly or is faulty.

if the green and orange is alternating 5 times then it is caused by the sheet feeder.

If the orange lamp blinking with green alternately it's ASF (cam) sensor error. The problem is in sheet feed unit.
