Service 4wd light intermittent/ Dodge 2500 Power Wagon 5.7 Hemi.

Service 4wd light comes on on occasion.
goes out after about 2 min; into morning warm up.
came on yesterday for the whole drive home from work, about 60 mile..
Then did not come again until about 30 miles into this mornings commute. Then went out about 20 mi; later.
When it's on, the rear lock light on the switch flashes.
Normally in normal drive mode both the rear and rear/front lock will flash if set to that point but not in 4wd and acually set to lock.
But when service 4wd light is on and rear lock is flashing, if I set it to rear/front lock it does nothing, no flashing.
I was told 4wd module or transfercase 4wd motor/solenoid???.
yes/no?. Or something else. I notice no issues in normal driving mode.

    service 4x4 light intermittant.

comes on for 2 min; during morning warm up.

sometimes while driving, and then goes out again.

rear lock light on dash switch flashes when it comes on.

Last answer to this was to change the transfer case oil, this has already been done, and I had it rechecked to be sure it was full.

This started after it was serviced. I;ve been told it could be 1 or more of the following. Transfer case 4x4 solenoid- Transfer case oil level sensor- 4x4 moduel. Please,! which is the most likely??.

Could the sensor have been damaged when they stuck the hose in to re-fill???.

Gauge lights

ABS and Brake warning lights intermittent may be caused by a failing wheel speed sensor(ABS Sensor) and /or its connector. You may have one on each wheel hub(4WD) or if 2WD, a sensor may be on the rear axle differential center.

4 wheel drive service try un hooking the battery for 5 min and see if that clears if not go down to auto zone use there computer to clear it the computer wants you to change the gear lube in the front rear and rear rear it wouldn't hurt to check the level in the transfer case
