I can't get your website to update my tomtom divce. It tells me to go www.tomtom.com/home and reinstall. But I can not fined the place were it says to, reinstall. I realy enjoy my navigator. Plus I move from Missouri to California, and I update that part. Please help fix this problem. I had no porblem two weeks ago..............thank you. I connected my new GO 930 tomtom as instructed, the the device works fine but the HomeRuntime.exe program failed to complete its program download to my computer and I cannot find a solution to the problem

I'm assuming you have
- the TomTom HOME (or MyDrive Connect) software installed on your computer/laptop.
- you have a TomTom account and have registered your TomTom device (in that account) on the TomTom webiste
- you are able to successfully plug your TomTom device to your computer/laptop, e.g. using the USB (cable or cradle)
- you can log into your TomTom account and have the TomTom software (HOME or MyDrive Connect) recognize your device (as being connected)
- you see the list of software/data/map updates available for your device
... and you still can't download the software/data/maps ... ? to update your TomTom device ... ?

Have you been able to get any help/support from the TomTom website ? www.tomtom.com to do this ?

You would (normally, first) connect your TomTom device with the TomTom website (www.TomTom.com) using MyTomTom (or TomTom HOME) software.

This assumes you have already (previously) connected your TomTom to a PC, created your TomTom account and registered the device at the TomTom.com website.

Then , you'll want to go through the steps to activate your LifeTime Map Update Service.

It is very common to get faults with the main program(application) on tomtom satnavs. Download the instructions from www.tomtom.com Connect your device to tomtom using your pc and tomtom home. It should update the application. On the web site is full instructions on reinstalling all the programs to the device however you will need to save your map and install it from this backup once application has been installed as you cannot download a new map without subscription or payment. Check the website for the latest post codes for your map and install it as well This is free. MAKE A BACKUP of the device first as if anything goes wrong you can reinstall the backup.

Installing TomTom HOME
Install TomTom HOME on your computer in the following way.

• Connect your computer to the Internet and then connect your TomTom ONE to your computer using the USB cable.
• A pop-up window appears. Select Run TomTom HOME. Click OK and follow the on-screen instructions.
• If the pop-up window does not appear, browse to the TomTom device on your computer and run the file named Install TomTom HOME.
• TomTom HOME is also available for download from the TomTom website.
• For more information visit www.tomtom.com/home
• Once installed, TomTom HOME will start automatically whenever you connectyour TomTom to your computer.

Theres no installation disc download anywhere as far as i can tell. Heres a website address to download TomTom home to re-install TomTom home. I hope this helps.

Map updates for your TomTom GPS can be purchased and installed through the TomTom HOME GPS manager program. You will need to download and install the TomTom HOME software onto your computer.
