Won't drain!! Our hotpoint washing machine starts a normal wash, and then after about 15 minutes it beeps and says on the screen 'check outlet pipe' we have checked all the fixings and the pipe is definitly not blocked!!! please help???

The processes below will get most controls unlocked.

Duet Washer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 15 seconds.

Whirlpool Duet Dryer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 15 seconds.

Kenmore Elite Washer - Press and hold the DRAIN/SPIN button for 15 seconds.

Some Models- Press and hold the control lock button for 15 seconds.

If none of these work try unplugging for 5 minutes

I had a similar problem with my Hotpoint BHWM 129 washing machine. The washer would not spin or drain properly and all the lights flashed after a wash cycle.
The solution was to pull the washer out and UNBLOCK the drain pipe which was crushed AND filled with 'gunk'. Once the crushed pipe was massaged back to normal size and the gunk was removed my problem was fixed. Not a nice job but I was going to ring HOTPOINT at £125 a call out fee so I am happy. I hope this helps someone else in time.

Remove drain outlet hose from point where it discharges into waste pipe, and lay the hose down into a bucket or bowl, this should let the water syphon out, enabling you to open the door.

The outlet pipe must be routed higher than the top of the washer or it will always drain. this is normal. The leak, however is not, something may be damaged, open and inspect.

The waste pipe is probably too low, this is letting the water syphon out.
Try lifting the outlet pipe higher up, this should solve the prob.
There is a line on the back of the washer, which incates the min hieght for drain outlet.

machine continuously draining needs the drai pipe lower than the machine, push it further into the outlet drain. from Alan

Your machine has detected a problem with draining. The place to check is the filter located at rear of machine.To access it remove plate at bottom rear of machine & you will see a black pipe hanging vertically from the drum secured by a spring clip.The filter is in this pipe. If this is clear take off other end & check pump is not obstructed.Be aware that there will be water in these pipes so may be wise to take machine outside.Let me know if problem persists.

It means "No hot/cold fill" and recommends - Check the water supply, inlet valve and hot and cold hose connections.

Sounds like water pressure could be low or inlet pipe is kinked.

F04: possible filling or water level problem. Check water inlet pipe (or shut-off valve), or the outlet pipe, or the pump or pump filter if accessible (check for blockages or foreign objects). Also could be the water valve solenoid weak, causing filling to be too slow.

F05: possible draining (pumping off) problem, check the pump filter, or pump, outlet pipe, or U-BEND.
