My kids think it sounds like an airplane taking off. It is terrible. The noise prevents me from doing a load of laundry at bedtime and when someone may be coming over. i also have the same problem the machine makes a lot of noise .
it looks like it is off its track, the motor turns and the barrell seems to look of track, and it is making a lot of noise.
can someone lead me to some manuals or a service manual, im quite handy .
i went to the website and they found no manuals for my model. wm 1832 cw.
i believe i have to remove and go inside the inclosed barrel and do some replacing of bearings or something.
Thanks........Robert

I got the same problem. The LG guy told me the issue was due to the inapropriate soap I am using. I should use HE soap only. this is mandatory now on new LG washing machine , and also other brand

check to be certain your suspension springs havent shifted and or come off their mounts. also make sure the belt is properly tensioned, the washer is level, and that the bearings have not worn out.
The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle. If the bearing is getting out of its way then its faulty weak motor causing this.Check out both the bearing and the motor. You can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com

It sounds like your drum bearings are about to go. I am not familiar with this model, but I would assume it is pretty much like all other front-loaders. Bearing kits can be purchased for all models but there is a great variance in cost eg. in europe €25-€75. It is also quite a difficult job to undertake for the sunday diy enthusiast as it involves stripping down the machine and removing the drum. If you are going to repair the machine as opposed to replacing it I would strongly advise doing it asap and continued use will cause the bearings to collapse rendering the machine irrepairable. Hope this helps.
manual,,lg.com...but befroe youdo that,,put the unit in spin ,,get a small wrench or the wrench that came with the installation pack..now when unit goes into high spin the fastest spin,,tighten the lock nuts on the legs one at a time dont turn the leg itself,,just the lock nut on the legs,,it might take two spin cycles but you will get it ..tighten all the way uop to the base,,,onthejob
hi linda from what you describe? the machine does wash cycle? but won't spin cycle? if the machine is a couple of yrs old ? it may well be the motor that runs machine is in need of some new brushes fitting ? they are not expensive and may be worn too low to activate the higher revolutions needed for spin cycle it is not a difficult job to drop motor off and check/replace if you have a good male/ friend? with elec competence ? have found this problem on other machines and most recent zanusi cost £5 for 2x new brushes as apposed to the £££££s the lady was estimated for a timer ? by plumber so why not check it out b4 you part with money ? best wishes/luck
generally when a machine gets noisy in spin cycle it is due to bearings being worn open the door with the machine empty and try lifting the the drum upwards if it moves then it will be the bearings
One of 2 things may be causing the loud noise. Either the rear bearing on the drum has failed and will need to be replaced (very expensive) or the drain pump has a bearing problem and is making a very loud noise when it is draining (not too expensive). Either way, you will need a qualified LG technician to diagnose and repair the problem.
frigidaire frontloader infamous for rear bearings going bad,NOISY is probable an understatement. I wold open door and grab hold of inner tub, try to lift it up a bit, problably a bit of play in there, thats an indication of bearing failure, call authorized servicer possible warr parts
