During the initial filling of the machine, both the hot and cold water fill at a full rate.When it gets to the rinse cycle it takes about 45 minutes to fill.The water barely trickles in.The machine also makes a buzzing sound when it gets to that cycle.Do you think this may be a controler problem?? If it where the valve or screens it wouldn't fill normal in the wash cycle, Would it??If it is a control problem what part would I need to replace the whole controller??Dial assembly?? Need a model # to get exact part you will need at rinse most washer go straight cold so I would say water inlet valve if humming sound is present

The first thing I would do is remove the hoses from the inlet valve and make sure the screens are not clogged in the valve. On some models the valve will compensate on fill opening both hot and cold. It will not do this on cold rinse. Before ordering any controls check this out first. If it's still the same I tend to believe it's a valve problem. The buzzing you are hearing is the valve. It is most likely a pressure switch. This is the water level switch. As water fills the tub, air pressure builds up in the rubber hose going to the switch. When the pressure is high enough for the water level setting, it trips the switch and puts the unit in wash cycle. Remove the control and start the machine. While it is agitating, remove the hose from the switch and see if the washer starts filling. If so, blow through the hose and see if something has clogged it. If you have a volt/ohm meter you can check across the terminals while you blow into the switch to see if it is working. Let me know what you find out.

Removing the lower front panel (3 screws nearest floor), and opening the round, white water pump filter cap (be ready to catch about 2 gallons of water!) is the best place to start. All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and a large, flat pan (deep turkey tray works well)!
YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE what I found in my filter housing this morning (see photo below)!
The washer is working fine now, although I may go back and remove the entire water pump so it can be dismantled, thoroughly cleaned, and reinstalled.

Hello,
It sounds like you have some buildup in the cold water valve screen. Where the hose connects to the washer there should be a screen inside the valve. Remove the cold water hose from the washer and clear any debri on the valve screen.
If this doesn't fix the slow cold water flow then you will have to replace the whole water valve assembly. The water valve is the piece that the hoses connect too and supply water to the washer.
