Kenmore 90 Series fills so slow on rinse cycle

is the cold water all the way on?

if so, the first thing to do would be to check the screens in the cold water fill hose and the screen in the cold side of the water valve on the back of the machine. if that is not the problem then replace the water valve.

(turn the water off before taking the hose loose)

you nead to turn off both cold and hot water.next you nead to remove cold water hose from washer.remove screen and clean it and replace it.hookup cold water hose to washer and turn water back on.you should have better pressure.your rince cycle is cold water.

Hi, Remove the inlet hoses and clean out the screens inside the inlet valve. Most of the time it is the cold water that gets plugged up. Because you state the rinse cycle is filling slow, I believe the cold is your problem.

your hot water goes through the water heater so contaminates settle in the heater. the cold does not, there is a screen inside the fill valve where the hose hooks to the valve on the machine. if this in not plugged then the fill valve will have to be replaced. because of the build up of contaminates..

OK, Duh..... I guess there is about a 2 to 3 min. delay for the liquid soap dispenser to fill up and disperse the soap into the washer tub. After that short cycle is complete the fill cycle engages and fills at normal speed.

It sounds like you have some buildup in the cold water valve screen. Where the hose connects to the washer there should be a screen inside the valve. Remove the cold water hose from the washer and clear any debri on the valve screen.

If this doesn't fix the slow cold water flow then you will have to replace the whole water valve assembly. The water valve is the piece that the hoses connect too and supply water to the washer.

HI thanks for your question. the cold water valve either has a clogged screen or a faulty water valve. remove the cold water hose and clean out the screen, try again. could be all you have to do. if its acting the same. replace the water valve. thanks the appliance doc. please rate my answer. thanks.

I had the same problem with my Kenmore Model 11022956102 washer and first thought that it was the water inlet valves. So I replaced them, but found the problem continued. After about 25 seconds into the rinse cycle the water only trickled in. Checking with a voltage meter I found that I lost 120V at terminals 3 & 5 on the washer temperature controller after 25 seconds. Even though the wiring diagram doesn't show the water temperature control board, since it's full of resisters and capacitors, I figured it was the most likely problem. So I ordered a remanufactured board from Parts Simple (#3407125), received and installed it. The 17 year old washer is now working fine once again. Your transmission is not engaging thats why the speed changes your making will sometimes get it to work.Honestly any machine after the 10 year age mark is not worth the cost of replacing the transmission.
