It is in power save mode. How Can I turn it on?
SOURCE: LG Flatron LCD Power Saving Mode
Hi, September 2008 and still problems happening with the LG screens. Mine is a Flatron W1942T.
I hit the screen as suggested (my old mum was a great believer in " if it won't work kick it", this applied to anything electrical, tele, vacuum cleaner etc.,) and guess what? my old mum was right. The screen came on.
Hope this works if it happens again. I'd turned everything off because of an electrical/thunder storm. Won't do that again.

Hi...there,
Your monitor enter to power saving mode to prevent further damaged. It's seems you got a busted backlight inverter... Need to replaced a new one or repaired it...

Power saving is the default the monitor goes into if it doesn't get the correct signal down the cable wires of the computer. There might be three culprits: (1) the cable between computer and display (most likely), (2) the display itself (unlikely since you see the LG logo) and (3) the graphics card inside your computer. #1&2 are easy to check by swapping with a friend for troubleshooting. #3 is tricker and more expensive and might require a savvy friend or a computer repair service (between $60 and $100/hour for labor) plus between $40 and $80 on Amazon.com for a new card depending on whether you need a analog or digital one. Don't waste money on super costly cards unless you use your computer for gaming.
