I have seen this specific problem. and I solved it.
It's the fan "bouncing" against the motor housing. Nothing wrong with fan -- design flaw. The way I solved this problem was to shim the fan mount so the fan was at a slight angle off level -- this keeps the shaft from moving in and out and the fan banging against the housing.

Remove the freezer panel to access the fan motor. Look for any obstruction around the fan or blade. Ice, misplaced wire etc.
Check the fan blade. Sometimes they slip down the shaft too far.
If you find none of these issues, replace the fan motor.

first you have to remove all shelves in the freezer, then remove all screws in the interior rear panel. In some cases you'll have to remove a couple of shelf tabe located on the side wall. Once tha panel is removed, the fan will be in plain sight. The blade is usually aboue 4-5 inches in diameter and is attached to a small motor with 2 wires and a green grounding wire. Note: you might want to check why it's making noise. Is there ice built up around the blades? Are you getting too much moisture entering the box thru faulty door gaskets?
Testimonial: "It was very good advise."

The only sound a fan should make is a high or low velocity blowing sound. if it grinds, here is why.
It is either a defrost timer or limit switch, That's the little clip on
device located on top of one of your freezer coils. This is the most
common item to die on many refrigerators. It is also pretty inexpensive, and easy to get from Sears or 1stsource parts. In rare cases your defrost heater may go bad, but I haven't had to replace one in a long while.
