I've had a lot of issues w/ the operation of my MIO C320, including this problem ... but ONLY whenever I tried using any other mini-USB cords (like from my phone or Garmin GPS chargers), with my MIO C320. There's something unique about the mini-USB pin-out configuration MIO uses that allows you to either charge or update their units (using the transfer function), using MIO's supplied mini-USB cables. (I've labeled my MIO cord as "MIO GPS", on a piece of masking tape wrapped around the cord.) I'm trying to recall whether the MIO's cords worked properly w/ all of my other devices, and I can't think of any that did NOT function properly. So, maybe you could experiment and - if that's the case w/ your devices also - avoid further issues by keeping JUST the MIO's charger in your vehicle?. Sorry this is so late, but I hope it helps! Cheers, The Foxxx
This problem has happened to me before turn the gps unit over and clean off the gold colored conductors on the bottom take a paper clip and touch the 1st and 4th pins together this resets the unit be sure it is the 1st and 4th pins on the opposite side of the little power connector though.
