LG 32LD450 TV is completely dead, power supply with blown fuse on primary, how to fix?

Blown Fuse on power supply's primary. I will try to replace it for the second time today, but I think it won't do any good and just blow again. Any help?

Unless you have electronics repair experience, you will need to replace the power supply. If you do have some repair experience, I would check for any shorted diodes, bridge rectifier, switching mosfet, or a cap on the primary side. Replacing the fuse will not solve your problem.

SOURCE: LG 42PX4MVH PLASMA TV - Sound but no picture.

I have the same issue with my LG 42PC3DVA and I narrowed it down to the Y SUS board. After a little research there are a few items that are prone to go. The ceramic fuses (as you found), sometimes the capacitors on the Y SUS, Z SUS, and power supply go along with them You can tell because thy will be bulged at the top instead of flat. I replaced a few of my capacitors - they are only $0.89 each so it was MUCH cheaper than a board.

The other thing that is common on the Y SUS in particular are the FETs (also called MOSFET). They can be replaced if you are good with a soldering gun but they are static sensitive so be grounded. They are also a bit tricky to test so you may want to do some research on how to determine if this is the issue... or you can just replace the whole board.

SOURCE: i have a LG PDP-42x30401 it has blown the 8Amp

Is this the main input fuse on the A.C. line? If that is the case then your regulator or rectifier section is shorted on your power supply board. The part number for the board on a LG TV will sometimes vary by the model version number that is located on the side or the back of the TV. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks...

My 42lh30 lg tv was on the kids where watching movie on xbox then the tv and xbox just turned off. and will not come back on. the xbox is working. but there is no red light saying the tv is getting power....

Possibly you've had a power cut & a fuse associated with the TV has blown. Have you checked the fuse in the TV plug? If that's ok then probably a fuse internally in the TV has blown or something more serious has blown in the power supply

Speakers no power

No Power means no supply. Step by step troubleshooting is recommended. Start with the main source power, then the cable wires, then to the primary section of the circuit board. Some components may be busted already.

My TV Wouldn't On

if no any power light indicator at the front of your tv that was mean the unit is dead set or no voltage that is circulating in the main board and other boards.if you can remove the rear cover of your tv, the first place to check will be the power supply board if the primary fuse was blown. if the fuse is blown with darkened color that was mean has shorted component either in the main board or in the power supply unit. if the fuse blown with clear color just replace with the same rating.

Blown Fuse LG LCD

Unplug tv and let it set for a couple of hours. Remove the back panel, the fuse is located somewhere near where the power chord comes in. Remove fuse and replace with one of the same rating.

My tv wont turn on

This could be due to a blown fuse in the power supply board. You would need to check using a multi-meter if there is voltage coming into the primary side of the power supply, if not check the semi-conductors especially if the fuse is blown. If you do have supply, then check what voltages are on the secondary side & which supply rails are present to feed different areas of the TV. If one of these lines are missing then trace which components feed this line.

No power on tv

Hi,

I'll think there's a problem with the power supply.
Maybe there's a blown fuse inside, that would be the cheapest solution. If not, you need a repair centre.

Kind regards,

Dead tv

Sounds like a power supply problem. I am sure that the pop is the fuse blown. If the fuse is blown, this means that there is a short somewhere. Rear projection TV are like LCD projectors. And all of them use Switch mode power supply. If you are lucky, there is a chance that a protection device (like a varistor) is sorted. This means that removing this, even without replacing will bring your TV to life, however... Most probably the power supply is defective.

Dead from cable surge from blown Time Warner splitter.

On that Sony the only glass fuse would be on the primary side where the A.C. cord enters the TV. If it's blown then you have a bad rectifier diode or some other shorted power supply component.
