Hi If u find that the lines are vertical that is often a result of taking pictures of very bright subjects. This is  called vertical streaking. If the lines are horizontal lines there is probably something wrong with your sensor and you should have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician , and they will send it out to have it looked at. hope this helps!
thank u rate me!!!

I had this problem too and i was told by a greedy "technician" that i would need lens replace!!! bahahaha !!!

I was dissapointed that this problem with horizontal lines occured until i saw here the reply of an anonymous, who suggests to lift the front protruding part of the camera while i take a pic, and it indeed took a beautifull clear pic without lines..! I didn't expect it to work to be honest, but it did and i thank this guy for this.

SOURCE: Horizontal lines

I have the same problem with my camera and it appears to be a well known problem with this camera and some others models beside of canon's: The problem appears to be caused by a defective CCD integrated in the camera. The CCD is not very resistant to various enviromental factors such as humidity and changes of temperature, causing the "porcelain" cover of the CCD "brake" and make a contact failure or something like that. The fact is that Canon, Sony and some other brands annouced CCD Repair "or" replacement programs totally free of charge to the cameras presenting this problem. To identify if this is your problem, your camera must show at least one of these symptoms: *The images in screen LCD present/display a very noticeable dye towards some color. *The screen is completely black. *The images are corrupted or distorted. *The images have horizontal lines or bands. *The images have vertical lines or bands. - The problem appears because the type of glue that was used in the manufacture on the part of Sony, is sensible to the heat and the humidity, causing that the sensor separates of its base and creating failures in the connectors of the CCD. In a publication made by Canon Asia they annouce: Affected products that exhibit this phenomenon will be repaired free of charge, regardless of the warranty status, if disconnection of the internal wiring of the CCD is confirmed. which means, that at least in these places, Canon will free repair the cameras affected by this problem after even expired the guarantee. I hope this information is useful for you. Please rate my solution. SOURCE: the pictures have horizontal lines

This is electronic shutter problem that is the reason you get blinder effect/ noise on picture. Electronic shutter is located in lens mechanism and lens assembly will be replaced to solve the issue. Nearest Samsung service center or local camera repair shop will help you to replace lens assembly.
Thanks.

Camera makes overexposed pictures wiht lines can this be a software problem ?

Nope, this is a hardware problem and the camera needs to be worked on. Notice how your display works fine but the finished product exhibits the anomaly. The recording end is messed up.

Horizontal LINES

If you are getting fine horizontal lines thet means the picture is over exposing. most probably the apparture or the shutter blade mechanism is not working fine. needs repairs.

My camera seems to short out and there are horizontal lines in the pictures.

get new batteries, if recharging your current batteries does not work (to stop it shorting out).

reduce your shutter exposure, by changing to Manual Mode (M), selecting +/-, and then the left button (flash) around the Menu OK button. Mine works fine at 1s shutter speed, but was showing horizontal lines before that ...
