SOURCE: my brother mfc 465cn keeps saying paper jam. I do
The paper sensor is either stuck or dirty.
Just open it and follow the paper path and you should see where it is.
Otherwise, the sensor may be bad.

Thanks, your suggestion led me to the solution, the jam not in the rollers or a senser, but it's in the dock of the printer head, when the printer head moved across, I shone a torch into the dock and saw a black thing, so eventually pulled it and realised that it was paper and it had been dyed black by the ink so that's wht it would be hard to spot!!!! Thanks again

Have you checked the back paper door?, the paper tray?, and the drum/toner unit? If a paper was torn out of the machine, you may not be able to see the piece that is still triggering the jam signal. You can also pull down the paper guide around the orange fuser roller through the back door by pulling it gently to the left.

what you need to do is pull out the drum and remove the paper that you can see.
just pull out the drum unit harder.

Actually, you need to double check the back cover and front cover, open them all to check all paper jam.
Besure to check the back cover, normally all paper jam is from the back.
be sure to close the front cover at the last cover to close.
