Probably some bad capacitors in the power supply or inverter/RF circuitry for the back-lights. look for electrolytics with the top bubbled up on them, or bulging plug at the bottom or leaking electrolyte...these caps all need to be replaced.
Check the fuses on the ysus & zsus boards. Are any fuses on boards open . Disconect power cabels to ysus board first {board on left} . put tv on . if the light is green the ysus board must be replaced.
Two problems: first, tv turns off for about 10 seconds after being on awhile, then turns back on. 2nd, picture will sometimes go black horizontally displaying only half of the upper screen. This will go on for about an hour off and on.
Commonly it's going to be a power supply related problem. The two boards that need to be looked at is the Main Power Supply Board or the power supply board for the screen. The one that powers the screen, some manufactures call it a Backlight Inverter Board.
If you have some electronic experience, you can sometimes find a Service Manual for the TV over the internet for less than $20. It will have the all resource material for repairing your TV model. It's just the matter of replacing the bad part on the circuit board.
Panasonic requires an authorization number first from them. Our parts suppliers require that before we can even order the part. I recommend calling a svc co. to have it looked at, preferably an authorized panasonic service center, it will be much faster.
uplug for awhile open doors and remove the catch tub. power on with doors open until red lights flash, if no red light then unplug power off and then plug in power button on off on off on off. mine does this sometimes not sure what it is doing except i can't remove the brew group when it does this.
