I have a sharp aquos 52" with a thin vertical red line in center

The rest of the quality is great except for this line running down the center of the screen

If you have a thin line running down the screen, you may be looking at a service issue right off of the bat. Here is a few things I want you to try before calling sharp, 1. Reset the unit from the setup menu
2. Unplug the unit for 2 minutes then plug back in. If that does not work. Take digital pictures of the line and call sharp immediately. Make sure you tell the rep you want to sign up for the aquos advantage program that they have(extends your warranty 3 months free of charge!) because that will get you priority service on with your issue. If they cant resolve that line ,9 times out of 10 they will replace the unit. hope this helps you

Sharp Aquos LC60LE632U 60" TV 1080p. LCD HDTV. Great picture. Except, there is one green line, running vertical down the far right of the screen. I'm suspecting that it may be the TCON Board.

I had a similar problem with my Sharp Aquos 60" LED and it was the T-Con Board. Simple to replace and can be purchased in the neighborhood of 40.00. If you have sound and a picture, T-Con Board replacement should be your fix. Great videos on youtube if you need assistance. I would highly recommend that you watch the videos prior to proceeding. I am NOT a TV repairman, just a do-it-your-selfer....

Hi,
If the line is present on all inputs, it is most likely a bad panel (screen). The screens are either not available or cost more than a new TV.
Not good news I know but at least you can save the $100 estimate fee.

Red line in the middle of my plasma screen

Hi leprecoce,
One transistor out of millions has failed shorted. That is an unusual failure mode, but not unheard of. The chip can probably be replaced, you might want to check google maps or http://tvrepair.com for a repair shop near you.
Most shops should be able to give you an estimate, I would guess around $300, unless the chip is hard to get.

Sharp aquos has green and white vertical lines

You must contact a svc co. This is a upper or lower buffer board problem and possibly a control board. Nothing you have done wrong, it just happened.

Green vertical line on the right side of screen

if someone found a solution for the verical line please post it. the laptop has never been hit and the vertical line just showed up there...
