Sometimes the fan overheats. Pull the power plug out of the back for about 15 - 20 minutes. Then plug it back in. 95% of the time that will solve the blinking status light problem.

SOURCE: HELP! I changed the bulb already. My NEC VT 470

Sounds like you lamp ballast has gone bad. I good way to verify this is, when you press power on the projector look inside the lens. If you see a small amount of light, then the ballast is good, and the lamp is bad. If there is no light then chances are the ballast is bad.

If it is a lamp error try this:
When the lamp exceeds 2100 hoursof service, the projector cannot turn on and the manu is not displayed. Do the following:
For VT670/VT470 Press the help button on the remote control for a minimum of ten seconds.

For VT570/VT47 Press and hold the power and the exit buttons on the remote control simultaneously for a minimum of ten seconds. When the lamp time clock is reset to zero, the lamp indicator goes out. Hope this helps! :]

Replacing the lamp with an old one was helpful for me. Good news: the projector itself not faulty. Bad news: I have two projectors with the same issue at the same time (the lamps were replaced also at the same time) after only 400 hours of running.

Klv32s310A sony bravia gets start on with green light and after a second turns to stand by mode blinking the red light 6 times after each 2 second interval

Hello Sagar,
green led means tv powered on and status ok.
Red blinking light almost always means defect, overcurrent or overload.
6 blinks for Sony lcd flat tv means trouble in backlight circuit, or backlight inverter (backlight illumination or lighting makes your tv screen visible).
common problems in the inverter circuit, which drives the backlight, or shorted drivers, or short-circuit transformers or open circuits.
You should find the problem in the inverter circuit, or in the power supply board or in the main board.
Also look for bad capacitors (electrolytic caps) which are bulged and swollen on top.
Decoupling plugs from printed circuit boards can help you in finding the problem board by elimination method.
If you power up the set after unplugging certain plugs on f.e. the inverter board , this could result in getting a green power led and concluding that this board is faulty.

succes,
Walter from Antwerp, Belgium.

If the failed hard disk drive is replaced with the exact same capacity, RPM and make of hard drive, then the array can be rebuilt. Raid 0 cannot be rebuilt as each drive contains half of the data, If RAID 1 then can be rebuilt as data on each drive is an exact copy. However if combination of RAID 0 and RAID 1 then can be rebuilt. It's best really to handel this hands on, I recommend taking it to a computer technician especially if the information on it is important.

When our garage door opens, my light turns off immediately. How do I get it to stay on for about 5 minutes?

Try this:

Press and hold the Lock button until the light blinks (about 10 seconds). A single blink indicates that the timer is reset to 1 1/2 minutes. Repeat the procedure and the light will blink twice, resetting the time to 2 1/2 minutes. Repeat again for a 3 1/2 minute interval, etc. up to a maximum of four blinks and 4 1/2 minutes.

The light stays on for a long time although it shuts off (a lot more that 4.5 minutes). Can this be adjusted to be shortened? Where and how on the unit?

If you have one of the newer models the duration can be changed by holding in the lock button until the light blinks (about 10 seconds.) A single blink indicates that the timer is reset to 1½ minutes. Repeat the procedure and the light will blink twice, resetting the timer to 2½ minutes. Repeat again for a 3½ minute interval, etc. up to a maximum of four blinks and 4½ minutes.

If your opener has the motion sensor feature and a person enters the garage and walks in front of the door control the light will come on for 5 minutes and then shut off.
