Hi. Precisely the same issue. This amp, also a C270, has never before been intrinsically audible.
I have read that the probability is that capacitors need replacement.
Ill take it in next week and have it looked at. These amplifiers are now a few years old, and some degradation is likely. Hi. Precisely the same issue. This amp, also a C270, has never before been intrinsically audible.

The buzzing is coming from the transformer. It is almost expected of an amplifier of this size, that the transformer (a large one) will excite the resonance of the casework and make some noise.

Determine source of Buzz
Speaker --- Computers sound channel Amplifier
Left or Right channel
Can you hear buzz in earphones
Fan --- Speed changes with Temperature - insects or junk hitting on fan
CD --- Player mechanism - CD media left inside
You should use the mixed audio out connector of the M55 or the two plugs for the component video out. (the bottom two) That should be plugged in on the CD input of the M15.
But I assume you already got any sound out of the set. If you are starting, you really should read the manuals, because there are so many things you have to take in account. It could end you can play CD's, but have to re cable the system when you want to play a DVD or a blue ray.
Bear in mind that 901's require exclusive use of any amplifier they use. You shouldn't expect to use conventional speakers alongside them on the same amp. The reason is that the 901's require the use of their dedicated Active Equalizer to shape the frequency spectrun to match their drivers' response curves, resulting in a flat sound output. Applying that kind of equalization to any conventional speakers will sound to sharp at the extremes and may even potentially damage them.
For connection I would run a pair of RCA cables from the L&R Audio Line OUT of whatever preamp or source you're using to the Active EQ's Line IN; then the EQ's Line OUT to a NAD amp's Line IN. DEselect any Tape options on the Active EQ, attach the 901's to the new amp, set the NAD volume controls pretty high (and leave them alone), run through any level setup procedures in your control electronics for volume, etc and you're done.
The AH may denote "slo-blo" style as opposed to Fast-acting A fast-acting fuse will look like a single strand of wire ( maybe wiggly looking) ..A Slo-blo will have an element in it and a spring
It is a known problem with this model. The source of the buzz is the Dsp power supply. On the DSP board itself there is a 2200my\f/16v capacitor that is defective . Usually the capacitor will turn brown and swells due to overheating. Replace it with a higher temp rating capacitor with the same capacitance and voltage specifications.
This sounds like a problem with the protection circuit, and/or the speaker relays. More specifically, a capacitor within those circuits that is not behaving properly. I strongly suggest having it looked at ASAP.
