There may be an input button on the remote, or on the TV, that allows you to switch from the standard ATSC tuner to the DTV tuner.

Let me know if you can't find it and I will dig for an owner manual. But the above should allow you to switch tuners and input sources.

You've got a couple of buttons on your remote that may have inadvertently been pressed.

First, there is a TV/DTV button which switches the TV between the two tuners (standard ATSC tuner and the DTV tuner).

Second, is the MeNu button near the button circle at the bottom end of the remote. By pressing this, you have a number of signal sources to select from. Once you have selected the correct source, you press the EnTeR/OK button.

I found a copy of the manual at www.samsung.com. Much of the info I am looking at is on page 31 of the English manual.

Let me know what you find. And keep in mind, your antenna needs to be a good quality antenna, and the cabling good in order to receive digital transmissions. As opposed to the old way of broadcasting, with digital, it's either all or none. No snowy pictures.

On my Techwood it as built in freeview but every other channel is right except bbc1 and bbc2 both channels say bbc wales,How do i get them back to bbc1 and bbc2 please PLEASE HELP.THANK YOU.

What you need to do is retune the TV, but when it is finished look at the regional settings. Or if the regional option is available before retuning, retune selecting your area so then you get normal BBC channels. It's likely that at the moment the channels for BBC are located at the very top end of the channel list say? - channel 800+.

You are clearly picking up signals from many transmitters. With regional settings you can change it to the area you live in.
But you will have to take into account how good your aerial is. Otherwise the signal quality will not be good on same transmitters. So the set may only suggest those with the best quality signals.
ITV stations might also change.
When done it will move the channels you mention to the top end of the guide, to 800+.

Note many HD channels have no regional options. For example here in Yorkshire we only get ITV Granada and not Yorkshire TV on the HD channel for ITV1. And BBC1HD does not show any programmes when local news comes on.

Why have i lost all the itv channels and only receiving bbc channels

Hi there,

There could be a number of reasons as to why this could have happened, your system could have run it's auto update which wasn't successful. Try going into your setup and running the channel update, this should then reload the channels including the ITV channels.

Hope this helps,

James

Unable to get BBC 1 and 2 on Digital. Both Channels are ok on Analogue but switch to Digital and programmes start at ITV( channel3) Have re tuned since last digital update but still the same. Have used the...

There is not a problem with the TV despite it's age this is can be due to your reception of the digital package for BBC. Have you checked through he full listings? sometimes the BBC channel will be at a different number setting because of the transmitter you are receiving. I assume you are using a digital box, you can enter a menu which will give you an indication of the strength & quality of the incoming signal. Do you pick up some of the other BBC channels such as BBC3 or CBBC? It's possible your aerial strength is a bit weak for the digital BBC package & you may need to have that looked at.

Loosing digital channels is equivlent to a snowy analog channel, check you cable connections, and splitters to the tv, since you have two of them out, it does not make sense that it is your tv. It is a conneciton in your cable line somewhere.

I have lost the normal tv channels on all 3 of my TV's (bbc 1 bbc 2 itv channel 4 through the aerial) but freeview channel are still working on AV. any ideas?

If you have all 3 tv's in the one house and on the one antenna then it sounds like you have been subject to either a lightning strike or a large static discharge onto your antenna. What this means is that the tuner packs in the back of the tv's has been damaged and will need to be replaced. However as you have said in your question they do work using an av input. This will be your cheapest option to get them working again. Buy cheap vcr's for them and connect via av cables, as the tuner modules are expensive to buy and even more so to have fitted.
