Your screws are actually located on the bottom where the base is connected. When you pop the cover off, there will be 4 screws that are connecting the base stand,. You can use those same screws to mount directly to the back of your lcd flat screen panel.

When you take the base off you will find those screws and those are the same size to use for your back panel. The back cover pops right off where it covers the base screws.

Hi there!

Please refer to Page 7 of your VA1703w user manual for help on mounting this monitor, if you do not have the manual available, you can get it online here: http://www.viewsonic.com/assets/022/7368.pdf

From what I can tell, you may be re-using the screws that you remove during the listed procedure.

I believe that during the listed procedure, you remove 4 screws from the back of your monitor. You should then use those same 4 screws to attach the mount.

No, no, there should be screws already screwed into the lcd monitor, not extra screws. In the center of your monitor there should be a small panel with 4 screws already in it, unscrew them, and then use them to attach your mount.

Screen goes black or pixelates

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Remove stand from monitor

there will be screws on the back which will allow you to remove the stand, then on the back of the monitor their should be 4 screw holes, use these to attach a a flat plate wall bracket to it.
but if you can't remove the stand, then put a clap speaker bracket on the wall & just clap the base of the monitor, as this type of bracket can be adjusted both in & out & up & down.

Rehow could fix the sreen on wall?

Remove the LCD monitor stand, purchase a wall mounting bracket. There are several types, one is on an articulated arm which allows you to left, right, up and down. Another type mounts flat to the wall with limited up and down adjustment.
You need to check the mounting holes on the wall brackets so it matches the mounting screw holes on the LCD screen.

ViewSonic VA703m 17'' LCD monitor Issue

I would make sure that all the cables are securely connected to both the monitor and the pc computer (screwing the screws from the cable to the port will help hold the cable in). Beyond that, the issue is likely with the monitor and not something that can be fixed by the end user.

If the device is still in warranty (and checking the cables don't work). I would recommend sending it back to ViewSonic to have it fixed.

ViewSonic VG2030wm speakers not working

you are unable to get an image on your ViewSonic monitor, first check that the necessary cables are attached correctly and that the proper drivers are installed. ViewSonic offers drivers for download directly through its website (see Resources).

Some LCD monitors use a VGA input while others take advantage of the newer DVI interface to provide a connection to PCs (some ViewSonic monitors offer both types). When connecting your monitor for the first time, you'll need the right type of cable for both your monitor and computer. In some cases an adapter may be necessary to convert the DVI signal from your monitor to work in a VGA input on your PC.

Check that the VGA or DVI cable is tightly attached to the back of your monitor and to the back of your PC. Use the small thumb screws on the ends of the connectors to keep everything tightened in place, which will prevent the cable from getting loose.

ViewSonic monitors also use a power cable to plug into a power source. If the power light does not comes on, check that the power cable is inserted fully into the back of the monitor and that it is plugged into a working wall outlet or a reliable surge protector.
