According to Dietitian, you can drink but it's better to limit caffeine intake while pregnant to be on the safe side. It's safe to have 2-3 cups of coffee a day, and while any type of chocolate has caffeine, hot chocolate has a lower amount of caffeine.

But Just be sure to drink anything with caffeine in moderation recommends Nutritionist

Yes. Women are generally recommended to cut down on their caffeine intake during pregnancy but the amount of caffeine in a cup of hot chocolate is much less than you find in coffee or even tea.

So keep drinking your hot chocolate. Obviously an excess of anything isn't good for you, so just aim for a balanced healthy diet.

Does cadbury drinking chocolate contain caffiene

I don't believe it has caffeine but you should double check the label. As long as the label doesn't mention caffeine, you should be OK to eat it.

How to Make Great Drinking Chocolate

Hot chocolate is one of thoses childhood drinks that are amazing. It doesn't matter how old or young you are - everybody loves a good hot chocolate.
I've followed hundreds of different recipes but my all time favorite is this one. It's actually a Parisian hot chocolate recipe so not only does it taste great but it sounds very fancy.
Ingredients:
2 cups full fat milk
5 oz (130g) of good quality bittersweet chocolate ie high percentage of cocoa - chopped small
2 tablespoons of brown sugar (to taste).
Method:
1. Heat the milk in a medium pan
2. When the milk is warm whisk in the chocolate and stir until melted and very hot.
3. Cook on a low boil light for about 3 minutes but whisk constantly. Make sure it doesn't boil over.
4.Taste it and add sugar if desired.
Serve in small coffee cups for a really sophisticated look.

What is the difference between hot chocolate and cocoa powder?

Although the two names of drinks are used interchangeably, hot chocolate is a drink that's either made from real chocolate melted into milk or with packet hot chocolate powder. Cocoa powder is unsweetened and needs to be combined with sugar to create a sweeter drink.

In general hot chocolate is richer and sweeter than hot cocoa.

Does hot chocolate have caffeine in it? I am looking for alternatives to coffee and tea.

Cocoa solids in chocolate do contain some caffeine so any drink with chocolate in is not going to be caffeine free. But milk chocolate contains a lot less cocoa solids than dark chocolate, so the type of chocolate used to make the drink will significantly alter the amount of caffeine in it.

I am pregnant,Can i drink tea or coffe?

When pregnant, you should limit your caffeine intake. Tea has really low amounts of caffeine, so a cup every so often probably wouldn't be a problem.

Coffee however contains a lot of caffeine so it would probably be best to avoid it most of the time.
