Check the lid cover. At the edge, there is a plastic housing some sort of a magnet. This is the magnetic sensor for lid cover open protection.
If the magnet is not there, place a magnet at the position on the washer where the housing will come in contact with the washer when lid is close.
thank you jerryoah! you're good! this advise is awesome! i initially couldn't bypass the washing machine sensor with the first few magnets i used (magnets on the back of refrigerator err...magnets?..lol)...eventually found a strong one (came from a broken computer hardisk...lol) that did the trick! thanks for this advise man! saved me time, hassle and money. -Marlowe from Singapore :D

Wow that is great advise. For those who cannot locate the magnet, sometimes the magnet becomes rusty over time and drops off with the pathetic plastic housing. If you check the middle of the machine at the lid, you will see that there is a gap which is left by the magnet dropping off. if you can find the replacement magnet and stick it back on, that is great. if not you can place any magnet on the body of the washing machine where the missing lid magnet supposed to come in contact with the body. by sticking this magnet permanent on the body, the child lock function is gone, ie machine continue to spin when lid is opened. so use carefully if you got children at home as the machine now thinks that the lid is closed at all time.
Please tell me from where can i get the new magnet?
If you have a broken telephone, you can get the magnet from the speaker. take them off and stick in that empty section where the original magnet was.
OMG.. saved my day!...
Kindly send me user manual

Saufi! Is it a stronger magnet than fridge magnet?
Thanks bro! this is working for me. thank you very much!!!
I noticed there as a space on the machine closure and figured that the magnet must have fallen. I just removed a magnet from one of my bathroom cabinets and placed it as indicated in the answer above and voila! Back to business. Thanks for the help!

The disc in the middle came up after washing, I pushed it down, it worked fine for a few washes then it came up again. I don't know anything about washing machine, it may just need something to stabilise the disc.

I got the same problem that first answer is the best answer but i solve this by different method first you have check about wire system because sometimes rats cuts wire and all of the stuff. Then open the back control panel area(where name and model type printed) there is a black colour little box, when lid open and close there is a connector with the lid and box. short both end of that little box and it will fix the all
I tried one small fridge magnet without success; I tried another, slightly bigger, fridge magnet and that didn't work either. Finally I tried an even larger fridge magnet and it worked! Hurrah! Thank you so much
I had the same problem (wash & spin indicators blinking & continuous beeping). So changed the magnet, but still it didn't work. I tried several techniques, but couldn't succeed. So I called a technician. He came and opened the control panel cover & repaired within two minutes. He charged me (LKR 2500/- in Sri Lanka, which is equivalent to 20 USD). Basically what he did was, there is a small sensor (little larger than the size of the magnet) which senses the magnet on the lid when the lid is closed. If the magnet doesn't come near the sensor, this sensor cuts off the power supply to the machine. Since this sensor wasn't working he just simply short circuited it- by passing the the power supply over the sensor. How to locate the sensor ? This small rectangular shaped beige colored sensor is located on the side of the mother board (when it's fixed in the washing machine's mother board cavity) very closer to the location where the magnet on the lid touches the operating panel.
Hi, i have the same problem but the problem only occur when the machine trying to spin to dry the cloth. means washing and rinsing no problem, only when spinning(dry) after few sec it stops then thats it. but no peep sound or anything.
the machine has sensors to check the disposition of the load. try and check whether the load is equally distributed in the washing basin else it automatically senses the in distribution and stops spinning.hope it helps..pisano hm

Hi, I have the same problem with this LG WF-S6607TC. When it finished filling the water, it will wash for few seconds then it will stop, the machine will beep and some LEDs blinking. It seems cannot detect the closed lid anymore. I checked the warranty card and it already expired a month ago.
Thanks jerryoah, I found that the megnatic was rusted. I replaced it and the Machine now working well.
