I have two batteries and charger (dc supply). When I rotate switch, I can only get playback to function. Unit will not power on when switch is in hdd record or SD card record. I am assuming its a dirty switch? or perhaps a fuse on the PCB. Thinking of pulling apart for a look inside to find fuse and also test selector switch. ANy infoon this issue or disasembly would be appreciated
SOURCE: Is there any way to record a video onto the sd card instead of tape?
You can't. SD card is only to take images in this camera.

When you did that you will have this [ ] [ ] if you put in the right part you will record video to sd card and the left side will put pictures on sd card , when ur done just put them together with some tape again and same thing next time

Hi,
Did have the same problem. If you have copied (backuped) the files to your harddrive, you must have twice the amount of free space available (working-area) on your HD to be able to edit the videos with the panasonic software. Default the workarea is c:\ (choose settings in main menu --> HDD Settings --> Select working area) After changing it to the d-drive (80 gb available) i didn't get the message and could working again with the video's!
