Fire wire for my camcorder panasonic NV-DA1

OMG, took me forever to find the driver, contacted the support centre who told me I had to pay $25 just to get it on CD

Finally found it by doing a 'round-a-bout' search

navigate to support and downloads then type in "NVMX" and select 'software driver' scroll down the page till you come to NVMX50. Should be two downloads there, one the driver the other the audio update.

After installing this on my new dell pc, it was able to identify the camera and webcam... HOWEVER although I can get webcam to work via messenger, my mic is no longer working??? even after the audio update so go figure??? I use to be able to use the mic on skype before downloading this... what a pain

The Panasonic NV gs 15 can only be used as a webcam with the USB cable.
You need a 1394 firewire / DV cable to transfer the video to your pc.

i do not understand,do you connect all these cables at the same time?If yes is wrong ...Just connect in a well known pc the fire wire cable and power on camcorder.If pc doesn't capture video,THEN look after editing program...

I have a Panasonic NV-DA1. New battery. It´s restarting on and on after some seconds, both on battery and connected direct to charger. It´s specially on record mode. Have changed tapes and cleaned the the tapeheads. What to do?

I purchased a pluscom easy cap usb2.0 capture device,it comes with disc.Load onto your Laptop or Computer put in your number from disc cover and it will download a program that says VHS to DVD.Its all you need. connect your camera lead from the av out in side of camera it should have a red,white,and yellow plug on and connect it to your easy cap usb plug in then just push capture and your downloading. you have to have a play to select what files you want to save to but its easy enough. Its only taken me about 2 yrs to solve this download problem but all ok now.Good luck.
