If the stripe is not listed in the latest Windows 7 driver (supposed to be released by Zebra on January 29th, 2010) then you can install the driver for another ZPL based printer such as the 105SL or Z4M, etc...
send a test print from the driver.
check the connection configuration.
if connect with serial port (check seting from the port (THE SPEED HAVE TO BE THE SAME)
if connect with USB, if necessery, install the driver again and test.
if necessery flash the firmware and test (worst case scenario)
if can't comunicate and if using paralel port:
check if the fuse next to the paralel port is burn ( on the logic board.). replace it.
dont forget to unplug the power cable and the comunication cable.
There should have been some software that came with the cable. This is a utility that has to run on the system to enable the printer to communicate across the USB to paralell jump.
An unorthodox solution is to install an old driver. Another solution is to use with Codesoft the driver from www.seagullscientific.com, and with Zebra Designer, the Zebra Designer driver. If the printer is connected to the serial port, speeds up communication. Roberto Martinez
Yasemin, the most practical solution is to design your label on a software like a label matrix or zebra designer and print to a file and have the ZPL codes.
