Gmail compromised I believe my gmail is compromised. my password is rather complicated but since i chose to remember the email address it just happened. what should I do other than reporting to gmail.

Go to gmail site

1. Head to the Gmail sign-in page and click the "Forgot Password" link.
2. Enter the last password you remember. If you can't remember one, click "Try a different question."
3. Enter the secondary email address you used when you set up your Gmail account to get a password reset email.

Ensure your password change took effect by logging into your gmail account using your new password.
Make sure in the address bar it says "HTTPS" before the address (Some browsers will show this in green)

If the login is successful this means your password was changed. To make sure go through the password change process again and pick a brand new password.

A better solution all together would be to enable 2-step verification. This allows you to use your cell phone to enter a code to make sure logins are from you and you alone.

The second email that was sent to you but blocked as spam was blocked automatically because other gmail users have already marked it as spam. So Google is probably aware of any issues and may ask users to change their passwords if the problem is serious.

You sign on with your I.D. and password, it doesn't matter which computer you use. Bear in mind that you may have those items saved on your computer so you sign on automatically, but with a different computer you won't have that shortcut available, so just use your identification that you chose when you set up the account, and the password that you chose. First, go to gmail.com
You will see a place to put your email address, which can substitute for your user name or it may be the only user name that you have chosen. If you can't remember the password, click on "I don't remember my password" and it will be sent to you in the manner that you chose when setting up the account. There is also a button for "I don't remember my user name" and that works the same way as the password button.

You are probably a nice guy, but you're incredibly naive. Never but NEVER publish email addresses to a permanent webpage, at least addresses you wish to continue using, as it will likely turn into a Spam City as soon as the robots harvest them, or worse!

That plus the Gmail information you have giving is just too damned risky. I believe you have compromised all three accounts with these revelations, and potentially opened yourself up to identity theft.

Just go open a NEW Gmail account. Maybe you'll get lucky and simply try to use the same name to sign up with as you used before. At that point you'll be able to recover it.

does your friend remember the back up email address she would have used to sign up to gmail. Go to sign in gmail page and click on help and select don't know password .

Click the "Need help?" link on the Gmail sign-in page.

You may have forget your password
you can reset your password by using these three options
1. reset your password using alternate email id
2. reset your password using security questions
3. reset your password using your phone number

Go to gmail.com and enter your credentials (username and password there). If you're having trouble remembering your password, it should have a "forgot password" option to click on. I believe you have to enter your full email address for your username (i.e, [email protected]).

my first question would be, do you have a facebook? because then you have an email, maybe one different from your gmail, and maybe your in your address book.
Or maybe you can ask an aquaintance whom you've emailed with what your adress is?
if you can find your gmail address, you'll be okay, because gmail has an option under the normal login for forgotten usernames and/ or passwords, but they require the email address I'm sorry:( if you don't use you old one, perhaps creating a new one might be the most beneficial?

Your email password is hacked and you need to change that immediately.
Please go to gmail and change your email password and set a new strong password.
