The pen on my Samsung Galaxy tab 3 only works sporadically. ..... it'll start recognising threw pen when it's about 2 inches away from the tablet...... there are some spots. .....s note mainly. ..... that...

you mean galaxy note 3 .first be sure the pen has a nib in it not a hole where one has fallen out. then it is about 1/16th or so outof the pen and rounded next try replacing the pen nib your phone came with a packet of replacements. they pull out and are snapped back in. Last and for sure , there is actually a battery inside the pen if it is old and weak you will have to get another pen say from ebay (best price) but before you do go to phone store and use one of theirs to test . if you have the same problem and only certain spots do not work on the screen then your digitizer screen is in need of replacement. also another ebay cheapest item. but whatever it turns out to be it is fixable. come back if you need advice will check every couple weeks.
So pen has nib , or nib needs replacement, pen has weak battery and need replacement or digitizer needs replacement. all solutions are under 100 dollars most under 50 . no nibs or bad nibs under 15.

My slate vision tablet pc is having some problems. The screen is not reacting when the pen touches the screen. I went into the control panel seems that everything set up correctly. Could it be the pen that...

Your tablet pc uses the Wacom Digitizer so the pen does not use a battery. It is possible that it could be the pen or the screen. It works with electromagnetic resonance technology and the screen produces this signal that the pen grabs, converts, and returns to the screen without batteries. The pen does contain compenents that can fail but so does the screen. You could try buying a replacement pen for around $20 dollars and see if that works. Worst case you would be out $20. If you had another tablet PC that uses a Wacom screen you could try the pen with that one or test the other pen with yours.

My pen doesn't work on my tablet pc. It suddenly stopped working

Does your tablet have an LED to indicate it's being powered? If so, it must be the pen.
Does your pen have an internal battery? If so, it's time to replace it.
Good luck!

My pen for my computer won't work

I think the pen has gone bad on you, since your screen can still detect your hand and the track pad. I would think the pen is faulty. Try another pen cause I think your original is bad, if it was the touch feature that wasn't working I would say its a driver problem but that feature still works with the exception of the pen. Get another pen.

My Wacom Bamboo Tablet Pen: only the pen was dropped. Now the eraser works but the pen tip does not. Neither do the buttons. The tablet itself does not pick up the pen tip's presence, but it works perfect...

Try replacing the pen nib. Take out the little nib with a tweezer or something along those lines and replace it with a new one. There should be a few of them when you bought the tablet. Also, try looking at the tablet properties.

How to use the toshiba pen

First, go to your control panel and find the icon for the pen. Next, calibrate the pen and set up how you want it to work. The pen is not for use in every program necessarily but with handwriting recognition activated and a charactes set entered, it will wirk. It is also good for graphics, with a bit of practice. Some units let you erase with the back of the stylus, just like a pencil eraser.

How to use the pen

Using the pen is quite simple.
You extract it from its storage space and use it as a mouse, left clicking it as you would a mouse.
By pressing the tip of the pen on an area on desktop or on an application window and maintaining the pressure for a short while, you activate the context menus (the equivalent of a right click.)

On the Windows task bar (for Windows XP) there is a small icon near the start button that shows a pen pointing outside: that is the input panel. Click the icon with a mouse or your pen, and an input area opens. In that area you write with the pen (writing Pad) or enter letters and symbols one at a time (Character Pad) or use a virtual keyboard.

Under the red X that closes the input panel there is a small gear. C;ick the gear with the pen or a mouse to configure the settings.

Your pen may have an eraser at the rear end and/OR on the side. It is used to erase characters or whole sentences.

To actually record (write) what you enter with the pen you must have a text-editing application open and running.
Whenever you approach the pen to the screen near a text-area (search area of IE or other compatible applications) a small icon appears to be clicked to enter text. This happens is you select UNDOCK in the input panel configuration.

This should get you started with the pen. Try these steps, and if you have any other questions post them as comments to this thread and it will be my pleasure to answer them.

The Pen

I'm not familiar with your laptop but judging from all the pdas I've had with touch screens the pen itself is only a pen, you could basicly use a wooden stick to poke at the screen and it shouldn't make a difference to the computer.

this laptop has a touchscreen If I'm not mistaken and you should be able to use it even with your fingers.

You might have a faulty touchscreen or then you need to install a driver for the screen?

Problem with the pen

I don't recall if that uses a "special" pen or not. You can try re-installing the pen driver.

Here's a link to the driver support site:

http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Portal/supportsearch.do

Just choose "notebook pc" under "select product"
Then "T Series" under "select series"
Then "T4010D" under "select model"

You want the "pen driver / service" driver.

Good luck.

Pen Problem

First try updating to SP2 and then get the latest Windows Updates from Microsoft.com.

If that doesn't fix it, here are some Win2000 drivers for your laptop.

http://www.fujitsupc.com/www/content/exe/PenW2k1.4.exe
http://www.fujitsupc.com/downloads/mobile/st3400_pen_w2k.exe

If that doesn't fix it, try these Wacom drivers.
