LG plasma tv screen is washed in magenta

When I turned on my tv a few weeks ago the screen came up magenta. By turning off the set and turning it back on, the screen would correct itself. Now the magenta cannot be got rid of. Can you tell me what is going on? I cannot watch it.

I have the IDENTICAL problem. Here's what I did to fix it:
Push menu on remote, then turn the XD - on. That worked for me, but every few days it automatically comes off and I have to turn it back on again. Better than paying my tech $200 to replace main board. At least it's working for now. Good luck, hope this helped.

Forget my last suggestion about XD on/off, worked for me for a few days then the picture crashed and turned magenta AGAIN. Sent it in for repairs.

This is normally only caused by two things, 1st- if your using the RGB inputs make sure the green is securely connected or possibly a bad set of cables. 2nd- If your not using that set up then I would say you have a defective main board. Have it looked at by a servicer if you cant find anything wrong with RGB Comp input cables.

BROKEN PLASMA SCREEN

Unfortunately, you'll have to replace the whole plasma screen to fix it. It's the most expensive part of the TV.
The web link below is the cheapest place to get a new screen.
http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=lg+screen&p=2

If your TV is model 42PC3D, they don't have your screen in stock right now. If you look at the other screens that are 42", the are $350 and up. Other web site will charge more than double for the same screen.

Sorry to give you bad news.

My 50' LG Plasma made a loud pop and shut off and won't turn on.

warranty not worth the paper it is written on
under warranty it is not a requirement that you fit/ fix anything
the only option is to take it to a repair shop for a diagnosis and quote and then decide if the power hungry plasma set is worth repairing
LED sets use 1/10 the power of plasma units so an upgrade will save money

LG 42pc3d plasma broken screen

Wow, that sucks. I hope you catch those guys.
Your part number for the plasma display panel is 6348Q-E128N.
Partstore.com is the only place that I can find a replacement plasma panel. The cheapest they have is $1,045.95. :(
Shopjimmy.com sell replacement panels too, but they don't have one in stock for our TV right now. Their priced about $300
The only thing I can suggest is to find someone locally that is selling the model TV, but non-working with the plasma panel not damaged. Then use the panel off that TV.

Sorry I couldn't help you out more.
Please rate me based off the info I provided.

Cracked screen

You can have them repaired but, usually the cost of a new plasma panel exceeds the cost of replacing the set.
