When you first cut it on has green screen and high pitched noise and then cycles on and off 3-4 times and then comes on ok. Can't seem to find this problem listed anywhere.

Hello there, You have to specify where the noise is coming from. Is it coming from the speaker or from the back of the unit. SMPS power supply powering your unit create this kind of noise when some capacitor gone out of their value.

The sound can be coming from the Y-Main bd, X-Main bd, or the Main Power Supply or a combination of those three bds. The Plasma Panel can also cause this. A trained samsung tech will have to trouble shoot the issue. I have found that by replacing the bds one at a time will eventualy eliminate the problem. However you must understand that all plasmas do emit a whining sound that is characteristic of all Plasmas and will not go away completely. If the Plasma is not properly mounted on the wall you can be hearing the amplification of the Normal sound because the sound is bouncing off of the wall.

Hi, the high pitched sound is coming from the coils or transformers on the power supply.
you can isolate the noise by removing the back and with the set on press gently with a plastic handle/item on each coil till you stop the noise. , you will probably have to replace the coil or the whole power supply, but sometimes you can tilt it over or secure it with silicone and it will stop rimging.
