I have yellow, white and red RCA cable. But the back of my TV has so many jacks of the same colors I don't know where to put them. I've tried many ways and nothing works. FYI: I live in China and the remote to the TV and the back of DVD player is in Chinese
The back of dvd is easy because it only has outputs with color code, the inputs and outputs on the back of the tv are grouped if you look closely on the back. select video 1 as an input on tv, and start with the far left yellow jacks on the back of tv, connect yellow rca cable and check for pic on tv, if not move to next yellow jack on back of tv, until you get a pic, connect the red and white right below the yellow jack that gave you the picture and you should also have sound

There some thing that you had done to get black and white on your tv with the dvd ,check your connections.if the connections are properly connected then the tv could be having a problem in the video input, have a tech look at it.

just press the AV / Tv button from the remote control or press the channel up or down until it reaches the input mode next to the last channel slot.

How long have you owned the tv? You have two options though your best bet is to locate your nearest authorized service center to have the tv repaired.

the red and black are the same as the red and white, these are the audio left and right channels. the yellow plug is the video plug. the next thing you have to check is wheather your tv has video 1 and 2 channels
