its normal for the temperature to stay around 28 degrees farenheight int the bottom drawer. (fresh cut meat keeps better at his temp). you can adj the temp slide near the bottom of the refrig next to the botom drawer to help adj temp. veggies will almost always freeze in the bottom drawer. also adj the temp controls to a little bit warmer to help as well.


Keep in mind the mid point settings on your refrig is just a starting point for you to adj to where it works best for you and your usage..

hi, is the fridge cold enough.pull fridge from wall, remove back panel. clean all coils. this should solve the problem. thanks the appliance doc

The motor that pumps the water to the door is probably shot. The ice uses a seperate pump motor this is likely the reason the ice works.

I have an older style kitchenaid refrigerator with french doors on the rightside under the meat storage locker a block of ice forms then melts leaking everwhere (any suggestions)

there should be small defrost heater located on the coil, that turns on when the compressor turns off to stop ice building up. sounds like that is faulty.

sounds like you might have a sealed system issue(ie.compressor, sealed system. check your user guide for warr inf you might stil be covered by manufacture for this issue
