I have A 57 inch Sony WegA model #KDP-57WS655 I replaced Q8014 and Q8013 and IC8002 When I turned the TV on R6420 smoked pin 8 IC8002 reads low ohm when in the circuit out of circuit it doesnt read as low. Assuning I got A bad chip I ordered A new IC 8002. The same thing happened. I would appreciate any help.

check the power switch for dry joints and resolder all joints if it still doesnt work check power board for dry joints as this is a common problem let me know how u go

You need a new projector bulb. Google up your model and buy the best warranteed one you can find. Buy a "caged assembly" and not just a bare bulb.

Then unplug your tv and get a screwdriver. Follow your model's instructions and just snug down the electrical screws. Do not overtighten them.

Then consult your manual on how to reset the lamp timer so it knows you put a new bulb in and fires up from the first try.

Treat yourself because you've just saved yourself a trip from a repairman!!

Hi:
This is a problem with the D-Board, or deflection board as we call it, there are two Ic's that needs replacing that has failed. They are power controller Ic's on the deflection board.

Q8013 & Q8014 are both 2SK3568 sony Part# 6-550-882-01R8051 is 0.1 1/2 watt fusible resistor sony Part # 1-216-837-11 and IC8005 is a TL1431CZ-AP sony Part # 8-759-586-17 you should be able to get those parts through www.tvrepairworld.com
