If you've replaced thermocouple with new proper one, and you have a good blue flame under it when pilot held on. Try removing the thermocouple where it connects to gas control and spray WD-40 or similar in the hole where the thermocouple was removed from, and take some steel wool (fine) and twist a piece of it small enough to fit in the hole and get to bottom where contact surface is and spin it to clean the contact surface well. Clean it out after with compressed air if possible, then re-install thermocouple and snug it up good and retry it. If that doesn't do it, your going to have to replace the gas control valve.

Hi,
What color is your pilot flame? It should be a steady blue color. If it's yellow, then the problem is with the air flow, incoming and outgoing.
Since it's an RV, you have limited space. Be sure nothing is blocking incoming air. Have you checked to see that nothing is blocking the vent (such as mouse activity...).
Here is an article about checking for good air flow and venting in gas water heaters. This article is about home heaters rather than Rv heater. The essence is the same.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

For a straight, manual ignition, atwood kit #A91603 give's you a new pilot and thermocouple assy. Approx. $30-$35.
Remove hot pipe connection, and flush out through drain valve.
Or remove TP valve and flush out through drain valve.
Connect small circulating pump to 5 gallon bucket with 2 gallons white vinegar like they do with tankless water heater, as shown following Bosch manual. And let run for 45 minutes.

White vinegar is safe for humans.
If odor is the problem, use H2O2 hydrogen peroxide, and not bleach. Hydrogen peroxide is safe for humans and easy to flush out of water heater and pipes. While it can take weeks to get rid of bleach, which is caustic and toxic.
