How do you open the top of the MVWC400XW0 machine? It is leaking water inside of the washer and I need to see where it is coming from.

It is coming from the water valve because you have grit in your water. To open the top you remove the two screws, one one each side of the hinge in the back. it is the top screws the slide the top forward and then you can lift it. Sometimes you have to jig it back and forth but it will come up.

Cold water comes out as a trickle, hot water comes out fine. how do I get the cold water to come out faster?

It sounds like you may have a clogged screen in your water valve. Turn the water off going to the washer and remove one hose at a time from the back of the washer and look inside the body of the water valve, you should see a small metal screen inside the valve, and they should be clear of any debris. If you see any debris built up on the screen, carefully remove the screen, I usually use a small flat blade screwdriver, and then use a small brush, like an old toothbrush, and scrub it under a stream of water in your sink until it is clear of any debris. Carefully put the screen back in and put your hose back on and then turn your water back on and you should be good to go. If you do not have any debris on the screens, then you could have a bad water valve and that would need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

The water leaks from the back side of the washer just under the cold water hose (at the top of the washer). Their is a round plastic part with some open space in the part. When the washer goes to rinse...

that is the drum vent. there is a mushroom valve inside to prevent water from coming out.when it fails, water comes out of vent. the valve either needs to be replaced or cleaned and reinserted. the top cover will need to be removed to do this. remove 2 back bottom screws and slide top towards rear to remove.

Hot water turned on but not going into the machine

take the hot water line off the back of washer and stick it in the machine and then turn the water on,if water comes out of the hose you have a bad water valve on the back of the washer,if no water comes out of the hose, you have a problem with the house water valve and not the washer

Top rack items are not coming clean

When you slide the top rack out, there is a tube below which aligns with the back wall when closed. if the clips come loose or it does not go all the way back to the "cone" shaped spout , it will not spray water from top wand that spins. if using a disposal, the smell will help to throw a lemon or lime in and grind with water running slow.

Which is better a top loader or front loader washing machine?

Front Loading Washing Machine: Fully automatic.
1. Better washing than toploading as technologically proofed.
2. No extra effort except putting cloths and detergent inside.
3. No need to observe in between while washing. Start and forgot. You can go market and come back.
4. No issue if electricity or water went out during washing.
4. Take more water compare to toploading semi-automatic.
5. You can not open it once it started.

Top Loading Washing Machine: Semi
1. Save water and detergent.
2. Need extra effort to put the cloth from one box to another.

Water come out from Water line when Engine Shutdown.

Does it show signs of over heating at all? When cool, take off rad cap & check level in rad & top it up. If down a lot, start engine, turn on heat & let run until you hear rad fan come on & check temperature gauge to see if normal operating temperature. Let it come on a couple of times, and top up rad an inch or so from top, then put rad cap back on. Top up bottle to proper level & try it. If it spits back into return bottle, try replacing rad cap.

WATER DISPENCER DOES NOT WORK, YOU CAN HEART THE MOTOR GOING BUT

first thing to do is to remove the lower back panel behind the frige and disconet one of the water lines that goes to the top back of the frige and push the switch to get water with the line of. do that to the 2 lines one at to give you water back there. if none of the lines gives you water back there 100% that plastic valve needs replacing.
