To reset the BIOS read the information from this linkhttp://www.fixya.com/support/r7229632-reset_or_remove_bios_password">link>.
In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

How to Bypass BIOS Passwords

If you are unfortunate enough to set a password for your BIOS password for PC and forgot it, chances are you may need to send it back to the manufacturer. Not to worry yet, you still can try out some tips and tricks to bypass or unlock the BIOS password:
BIOS passwords can add an extra layer of security for desktop and laptop computers. They are used to either prevent a user from changing the BIOS settings or to prevent the PC from booting without a password. Unfortunately, BIOS passwords can also be a liability if a user forgets their password, or changes the password to intentionally lock out the corporate IT department. Sending the unit back to the manufacturer to have the BIOS reset can be expensive and is usually not covered in the warranty. Never fear, all is not lost. There are a few known backdoors and other tricks of the trade that can be used to bypass or reset the BIOS password on most systems.

There are a few known backdoors and other tricks of the trade that can be used to bypass or reset the BIOS v Before attempting to bypass the BIOS password on a computer, please take a minute to contact the hardware manufacturer support staff directly and ask for their recommended methods of bypassing the BIOS security. In the event the manufacturer cannot (or will not) help you, there are a number of methods that can be used to bypass or reset the BIOS password yourself. They include:
Using a manufacturers backdoor password to access the BIOS
Use password cracking software
Reset the CMOS using the jumpers or solder beads.
Removing the CMOS battery for at least 10 minutes
Overloading the keyboard buffer
Using a professional service
Please remember that most BIOS passwords do not protect the hard drive, so if you need to recover the data, simply remove the hard drive and install it in an identical system, or configure it as a slave drive in an existing system. The exception to this are laptops, especially IBM Thinkpads, which silently lock the hard drive if the supervisor password is enabled. If the supervisor password is reset without resetting the and hard drive as well, you will be unable to access the data on the drive.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Backdoor passwords
Many BIOS manufacturers have provided backdoor passwords that can be used to access the BIOS setup in the event you have lost your password. These passwords are case sensitive, so you may wish to try a variety of combinations. Keep in mind that the key associated to "_" in the US keyboard corresponds to "?" in some European keyboards. Laptops typically have better BIOS security than desktop systems, and we are not aware of any backdoor passwords that will work with name brand laptops.
WARNING: Some BIOS configurations will lock you out of the system completely if you type in an incorrect password more than 3 times. Read your manufacturers documentation for the BIOS setting before you begin typing in passwords

I got this hp laptop but its locked and i dont know the pass word

Ok there is a way to bypass this password BUT only if the BIOS is NOT password protected. Check this by accessing the BIOS (reboot and hold down either F2 or Delete or whatever your laptop requires you to do) then you can see if the password has been enabled or not. To be honest if the BIOS password is enabled you are out of luck I'm afraid unless you have a different password for the BIOS, if not then great, you need to Google (on another PC of course) for a free password bypass program, there are many, then it's basically a case of downloading the program onto a CD or memory stick so you can run the program (usually a Linux code) on the locked laptop. Don't forget when you are in the BIOS looking to see if the password is enabled change the boot order to CD as first in the boot order.
When you Google for this item it will have instructions on how to use it, good luck!!

Net bios password work around

Hello,
There will be a back door password , password can reset for some model in dell platform.A BIOS password is a protection measure that can be used to stop someone powering up a computer system or making changes in some of the computers most sensitive areas. Many big name computer manufacturers such as Dell and HP lock the customers out of this area because they don't want the customer changing anything and potentially damaging the machine (which the manufacturer may have to warranty). However, when someone like a computer technician or hardware enthusiast needs to make some hardware changes to the computer, they will need to access the BIOS. Here are some methods to bypass or remove a BIOS password.

I just got a thinkpad t22 900 mhz that seems to have a bios lock on it. How do I fix that?

The BIOS password is configured from the BIOS setup and this password is stored on an EEPROM chip. There is no backdoor password available and IBM/Lenevo support say the motherboard needs to be replaced. Also removing the BIOS battery to discharge the BIOS and reset it to the default settings will not allow you to bypass this password.
There is a way to crack the password but you need electronic skills, electronic components and several programs plus a working computer to carry out this task.
For details on how to do this check this WEB site.
