Lexmark 4350 will not run with windows vista

Is the Lexmark software already installed in your Vista computer? What did you use to install the sofware, the installation cd or the downloaded file? Did you get any particular errors when installing?
Are you getting any error when printing?

Ensure you share th printer on the network....go to Start / Printers & Faxes / right click on your printer / properties / sharing / share this printer

If you are still using Vista, the 4350 CD probably does not contain the Vista driver. You can uninstall the previous driver and install the latest Vista driver from:

Choose the appropriate driver, 32bit or 64bit.

Download Vista drivers from here.

After downloading unplug printer usb, and start downloaded file.

hi guys, i have had the same problem, i have a p4350 all in one printer and when i updated to Vista i couldnt get my install cd to work...i downloaded the install file from lexmark website...cjr4300eng.exe and all worked except OCR and FAX...i emialed lexmark and they couldnt help.....but i tricked my computer and now everything works just fine.....this what you have to do......
Step 1 - uninstall all previous lexmark software
Step 2 - download the cjr4300eng.exe file from

Step 3 - extract the file to c:\drivers\printer\4300 but do install the software, just cancel
Step 4 - once you've extracted, copy the OCR and FAX folders from the original INSTALL CD to the same directory c:\drivers\printer\4300 along with all files from the ROOT directory (autorun.inf, cdicon.ico, hidclass.sys etc) on the CD EXCEPT "setup.exe"
Step 5 - open setup.exe and wait for install, it should notify you twice of installation so be patient.....and WOLA you're done

Hi Try this

1. Disconnect printer also PULL POWER cable from printer.
2. Uninstal driver from control panel... printers
3. Download new driver from here (remember where you save it)

4. Switch off computer.
5. Reconnect printer cables
6. Switch on computer... let it find your printer.
7. Instal new driver from where you saved download.

Lexmark all in one solution software you used in XP doesn't work with Vista.

But you can still scan and copy by using Windows Photo Gallery.

1. Click on files tab at the top in Window Photo Gallery.
2. Click on import from camera or scanner.
3. Highlight your scanner icon (ie lexmark 4300) then click import.
4. "New scan" window will popup, now you can preview or scan using this basic looking Vista tool.
