Kodak aio esp-3 copy problem

I am getting a black bar across the top of my documents when I use the copy function...help! I had the same problem with my 3 month old ESP-3 - Kodak exchanged it, the new one worked for a few days, and now I have a BLURRY bar across everything I scan.

I am very inclined to steer people away from this piece of **** right now.

SOURCE: Solid black line when scanning or copying from KODAK ESP-3

Get a damp soft cloth and clean the scanner glass. If that doesn't resolve the issue there is a chance the scanning unit itself is damaged.
Let me know.

SOURCE: Kodak ESP 7 WIFI problems

Today I contacted Kodak about my ESP5250 wireless printer and they said it won't work with the Actiontec PK-5000 because it does not multicast. My old Actiontec wt-701-wg worked fine, but qwest couldn't find any other answer for me for my problems with intermittent stalling of my browser, so they told me my 5 year old modem was too old and to buy a new pk-5000. Same problems. Tonight I contacted qwest to tell them about this problem and they said it is now a known problem, and recommended an actiontec Q1000. Hope they tell the girls in the Phillipines this. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: purchased Kodak ESP 3250 yesterday. Not printing photographs.

Yes sounds to me like one of your ink cartridge is empty. Replace and try again.

Testimonial: "Hi - the printer was caput - had to be replaced. Thank you for help."

Resolution
Check to see if the required files are present:
  • Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\kodak. Check for 2 folders "kds_aio5000(for AiO 5000 series printers) and kds_aioesp(for ESP series)
  • Depending on printer model, open kds_aio5000 or kds_aioesp.
    • For kds_espaio it should only have the lib folder. It doesn't have the ekaiowia.dll
  • Inside the lib folder it should have cct.ekpgct, hippo.dll. Both for kds_aio5000 and kds_aioesp.
  • If hippo.dll is missing then try the following:
Option 1: 1. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kodak\EasyShareSetup\printer\scanner 2. Right click on aioscnnr.msi and choose uninstall once this is finished reinstall it by double clicking on the same msi file. 3. Check to see if the scanner files are now present (see above) if not then go to Option 2 Option 2: 1. Insert the Home AiO CD. Go to CD rom drive\printer\scanner 2. Right click on aioscnnr.msi and choose uninstall once this is finished reinstall it by double clicking on the same msi file. 3. Check to see if the scanner files are now present (see above) if not then go to Option 3 Option 3: (manual installation) 1. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kodak\EasyShareSetup\printer\scanner or on CDROM drive ..\printer\scanner 2. Open the aioscnnr.cab file then look for the missing file(files needed: cct.ekpgct, hippo.dll, and ekaiowia.dll) Extract the files anywhere on to the computer (Desktop is preferable). 3. Copy the cct.ekpgct, and hippo.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system32\kodak\kds_aio5000\lib 4. Copy the ekaiowia.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system32\kodak\kds_aio5000

KODAK ESP-3 AiO Will Not Scan On Vista 64 Bit Ulitmate

I had the same problem and I got it to work. I have Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 on my computer. Here's what I did...

Go to "Start" then "Control Panel".
-Click on "Programs and Features".
-Scroll down to Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 - click on that and then click on the "Change" link above.
-A box will pop up, click on "Add or Remove Features" and then click "Continue".
-Click on the "+" next to "Office Tools"
-Click on the "+" next to "Microsoft Office Document Imaging"
-Click on the down arrow next to "Scanning, OCR and Indexing..."
-Then, click on "Run from my Computer"
-Next click on "Continue" at the bottom of the dialogue box and your configuration process should begin

Once completed go to the start menu and type in "Scan" into the search box. Go to "Microsoft Office Document Scanning" Once there, plug your scanner into you computer, chose what color you want your scan to be in, and click on the picture of the scanner to the right. To make my scans clear, I had to click on "Scanner..." and chose KODAK ESP AiO as my scanner even though I have a KODAK ESP-3 printer/scanner.

I hope these instructions weren't too confusing and I hope this helps some of you out! My scanner was causing me a lot of frustration for a while!
