Reset iPad to factory settings: go to "settings", at the bottom of screen click on "Reset." You will have to re- initialize the iPad as a new device with a new "Apple I.D.

Follow the following steps:

1. Tap Settings > iCloud on your iOS device. If you see the option to sign in, you can change your Apple ID now.
2. Scroll down and tap Sign Out. ...
3. Choose Keep on My iPhone or Delete from My iPhone.
4. Enter your password.
5. Go to Settings > iCloud and enter your New Apple ID and password.
6. Tap Sign In.

If you need need to reset the password, navigate to the follow link and click 'Reset your password': https://appleid.apple.com

You can go to iCloud.com and ask to have your password reset. You however must know what email account you used when you registered. iCloud will send you a link to your registered email account, follow the link and reset your password. Write it down somewhere.

Use a computer to log in to iCloud.com with your registered email and password to reset your account. Then log out of iCloud on the iPad and log back in with the new password.
