    No success. Still Dead!

  • colanne64 Feb 23, 2009

I have two chargers and two batteries (one of each are new )both are ok . 'still no go!'

  • colanne64 Feb 24, 2009

Pin there and solid, when adapter is connected and waggled no change. No smell.
When last working ( on my knee ) noticed heat from underside of lap top more than usual, screen froze and would not turn off, so I removed battery.

I am not usnig battery anymore since it went dead and wouldn's allow computer to work, it would freeze. I've been using the adapter fine, but now it doesn't start at all. Could it be that I accidentally did something while cleaning screen and starting laptop at same time?

  • josehomes Feb 25, 2009

Same problem. Was working fine with adapter, now it would not start. Pin in place. Possible damage while cleaning screen and starting Laptop at same time?

Ok, have a look at the power adapter itself, check the fuse in the wall plug and reset the surge protector if you have one

Ok, on to the next one.
Have a look at the power adapter input, get a paperclip or a very small screwdriver and check the pin inside the adapter port on the laptop, is it loose? can you smell electrical burning or is the pin even there?

    Hi there
It sound like the processor has blown, this is probably due to a build up of dust or the CPU fan has failed, you can replace the processor and fan but there may be more damage done to the machine because of overheating.
I'm so sorry to have to tell you this!!
take the machine to a reputable PC repair store to have this checked out visually.

    kind regards and good luck

I have teshiba L650 I PUT NEW BATTERY IN IT NWE BATTERY CHARGER CORD AND COMPUTER COMES ON BUT FOR SOME REASON BATTERY WILL NOT CHARGE UP EVEN PLUG IN TO ELECTRIC SOCKET

Hello,

Try removing the battery and use your charger only in powering up your computer to check if your charger still works. If it doesn't power your computer then you need to replace the charger.

Acer aspire 5750 charging problem

The solution to your problem lies in one of the following three areas:

Your charger is faulty and is therefore not able to pass power to your laptops battery.
The charging connector on the laptop has come loose from the contacts. Therefore a bad connection.

Your battery is faulty.

If you are sure that your laptop charger is dead and you are in the market for a new one, try the following one:

But before you buy a new battery, You need to again repair the power plug where your adaptor's plug is inserted so that it will not create any problem later. There might be loose connection or sort wiring.. Good luck..

Acer laptop won't charge.

When you finally get the charge light to come on, does the battery get fully charged? How long can it run while not plugged in?
A junker will not charge properly, or hold a charge for a short period of time. If this is the case, time to get a new battery.
If the battery seems to charge fine and the uptime is acceptable take a look at the charger and connectors, make sure their clean and free of debris. Maybe try to locate someone with the same charger and see if the problem continues (Some computer shops may have your charger)

Laptop will not charge, the green light on power lead is on but my laptop wont charge it is a acer aspire 5315 with vista

Okay, It can be 1 of 2 problems here:

1. Your laptop battery is completly dead, this can be caused by the overcharging of the battery, You may need to buy a new battery.

2. The battery charger is set at a voltage that can keep the laptop running, but not charge the battery at the same time, try a different charger (universal)
