If you printing is just faint, need to replace toner, but if your printing is faint and blurry, need to add grease to the fuser film roller, need advanced skills for that, disassemble the fuser unit take out the fuser film and put some special high temp grease on the heating element, assembly all back and install, the other way is replacing the fuser unit

did you remember to remove the seal on the toner cart? this is a breakaway tab usually on the side, this when pulled removes the plastic seal,(from inside the cartridge)

SOURCE: Brother HL 2070N Drum Unit changed but printing with dots on the left hand side

Hi yvonnetyndal,
1\ if the dots is repeated in equally length vertically, that means the problem is from drum.
2\ if it scuttered dots that means the printer dirty by toner , try to clean it .
Hope this helpful for you,
thanks

SOURCE: Printing lines

Try to print calibate your printer! It is usually in your properties section of your printer options and then go to the a section that will get you a cleaning too. Failing that then try to take it all apart again and put it back together making sure it's all locked in place and do another cleaning and alighnment.
Cheers
Al

Brother HL 5250 red light flashing

I found this solution on the web-- Hope it helps.

The HL-2070N gets stuck in a toner end-of-life error condition. Perform the following to clear :
With paper loaded, new toner in,

Open front door
Turn off printer
While holding down the GO button, turn printer back on
When all four LEDs light up release GO button. All LEDs will turn off
Press the GO button 2 times. The 3 LEDs (toner, drum, paper) will light up solid
Press the GO button 5 times
Paper light will be blinking
At this point the toner end-of-life condition has been reset. Close front door.
BTW, I got this from Brother Support. Also, just a reminder, timing is important here so don't pause between button presses.

Brother HL 2070N Drum Unit changed but printing with dots on the left hand side

If toner leaked into the machine and got on the fuser that could cause this, but the dots would go away after a few prints. Try another drum unit.

Toner light doesnt go away in our printer and the printer doesnt print. We changed the cartridge please help us

The HL-2070N gets jammed in a toner end-of-life error condition. Perform the following to clear (I have 120 in the field so I know it works!):

With paper loaded, new toner in,

  1. Open front door
  2. Turn off printer
  3. While holding down the GO button, turn printer back on
  4. When all four LEDs light up release GO button. All LEDs will turn off
  5. Press the GO button 2 times. The 3 LEDs (toner, drum, paper) will light up solid
  6. Press the GO button 5 times
  7. Paper light will be blinking
  8. At this point the toner end-of-life condition has been reset. Close front door.
BTW, I got this from Brother Support. Also, just a reminder, timing is important here so don't pause between button presses.
