I would first check the wiring from the amplifier to the head unit (stereo Deck). If that connection is loose or not there then the sub-woofer will not turn on.

I have a jvc th-m606 receiver and I don't have a subwoofer for it, is there a different way for me to get audio output or a different subwoofer I can use?

You would have to make a cable that goes from the 8 pin mini din of the jvc unit to each individual speaker. A wiring diagram can be found online each pin on your 8 pin goes to a speaker , and one is for power. Find a wiring diagram and find a cheap electric store that can make the cable for you. I had the same problem...

I have a jvc seteup but reciever is broke.is there a way i can get a adapter to plug sub woofer with power amp into a a yamaha reciever?the plug that goes from sub woofer also powers other speakers, cable...

Here's a manual.

http://www.retrevo.com/support/JVC-TH-M505J-Home-Theater-Systems-manual/id/318dj491/t/2/

That cable not only carries audio but it also powers the sub and other channel amplifers. Even if we could supply the pin-outs for the channels I'm not sure what we could do to provide subwoofer power. We're talking about a major rework.

This is a highly proprietary design, meaning it's really not very adaptable to normal spec audio equipment.

There's a flat-fee repair service for the receiver ($99.95, free return shipping):

Maybe they could fix your receiver.

You COULD try to reach the manufacturer for other options.

I HAVE A JVC HOME THEATER SYSTEM MODEL NUMBER TH-C5 THAT THE RECEIVER POWERS UP BUT THE SUB WILL NOT AND THE SPEAKERS ARE NOT WORKING.

Page 42:

No sound. The system cord and/or speaker cord is not connected. Check the connection.

The audio cord is not connected to AUDIO IN (VCR)

and/or DIGITAL IN (DBS) correctly.

Connect the cord correctly. (A pg. 13)

An incorrect source has been selected. Select the correct source. (Apg. 17)

The decode mode is not set correctly. Select the proper decode mode. (A pg. 35)

Do you think the powered subwoofer itself might have a power problem? Check its cord.

Did ur techman checked the fuse?
Normally, that is the one first to be BUSTED before everything else?
If there are no POWER at all the POWER IC is the culprit, and check the DiODES!

JVC TH-C5 Solder 8 pin to sub circuit board

The best solution I could give would be to go on E-Bay and type "8 pin DIN" into the search, and just buy one. I just did. The price is higher with longer lengths, but it's worth NOT messing up the subs built-in amp by getting the pins wrong.

Jvc th-c6 subwoofer won't turn on

Check the little prongs inside of the cord, they are very fragile and if they get pushed in wrong, bent and broken off - you would never see one on the floor. These should all be straight and be able to make contact. Hope this helps!

Jvc th-c5 dvd theater system

Probably have a bad center unit to subwoofer cable. Sometimes the pins inside the cable bend or break. I paid 33.00 for a new one on the JVC website.

Subwoofer JVC TH-M606

What system are you using it with, how do you have it connected, when you say the system does not work as a result, does it mean that the system does not power up, or no sound?
