No matter what I try to print, the printer spits out the page with no printed text or graphics. The paper is blank. I've tried troubleshooting it and turned it off/on. I also rebooted my computer. The printer says "Ready," and paper feeds through but comes out with nothing printed on it.
HP Deskjet F4280 driver
try to refill or replace the cartridge normally it happens when you don't use inkjet printers once in a week ink gets dry
Uninstall the reinstall the driver for the printer from the HP web site for that printer and the win operating system you are using
SOURCE: Print page comes out blank
If the cartridges are old too this may be a problem. When ink gets old it can clog the cartridges. If they are old replace them with new ones. If they are new ones did you peel the protective covering off before you inserted the cartridges? Hopes this helps
Try connecting the printer via the USB port on either one of the computers. Then test if the machine prints fine then likely possibility is that the Network interface card is faulty remove the network card and install in a different slot and test. If the same thing happens then reinstall the drivers and test.
Hope this helps
Thanks J

Ok, I too have HP Photosmart 7280 and it was spit'g out a blank page
after each print page.
I went into the Control Panel/Printers - Right
click on the HP Photosmart 7200 series icon and choose delete. Don't
worry...just delete it.
Right above (Vista) click on Add a Printer - it's going to ask you if you want to add a local printer which is connected via USB connection or if you are set up wireless then choose Network
It will find your printer click on the printer hit next - then this is the most important step
It will ask you to find the manufacturer it shows Hewlett-Packard and underneath it shows HP - Do not click on HP - you'll have the same problem with that driver - choose Hewlett-Packard and find this driver HP Photosmart C7200 series Version 61.71.244.0 [3/23/07]
Hopefully they are all digitally signed with this information.
Click on that driver and click next - then click on replace the current driver and click next.
Print a test page and problem should be solved. Hope it helped!

I had same problem with hp psc 2410 all-in-one. Finally ran "HP all-in-one Series Web Release Uninstaller version: 4.1.1.00.1332 (3/20/2007) that I had downloaded several years ago. Then plug and play took over and installed the correct driver that Vista kept insisting I already had.

Generally, there are printer set up programs that will let you chose to put a blank sheet or to not do that. If you have a disk or manual, look for the set up utility and go thru the tabs to find paper handling or something similar to that. There should be a check box you can clear to stop the blank page.
I hope that this information was helpful. Have a great day.

Thanks everyone for trying hard to help. What I ended up doing was uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling. Whatever hiccups it had disappeared. Really appreciate the boost here!
