Need help in replacing the door/drum gasket. Somehow I have a chuck of mine gone and the washer leaks a little on heavy loads.

i think you mean the (door seal), and yes they can be replaced and at little cost and little effort, with out knowing what model your machine is i cant give you an accurate price quote but should be able to pick one up for for next to nothing if you look around. happy to give instructions on how to replace the old one if needed.

My Bosch Nexxt Essence front load washer will not drain. I changed the lint filter, and insured that the drainage hose was free of debris. I removed all the wet clothes, wrung out the excess water, and redistributed the clothes. Still, no draining or spinning. Initially there was a humming sound, but now there is no sound at all when I try to restart the drain or spin cycles. All the lights are appropriately "on".

Here is how you do it. 1st remove the door & hinge, 2nd remove the covers on the screw where the door sits that holds down the control panel. 3rd remove two screws holding the door latch in place. Remove the spring & wire holding the boot on and pull the boot loose from the plastic holder Remove the plastic boot holder. You will now see the boot where it attaches to the tub. There is a spring and wire that holds that on. At the top there is a tab on the seal, grab it and pull towards you. The boot will come off. To reassemble I remove the counter weights(concrete weights) from the tub and put the boot firmly into the slot on the tub. Now reinstall the rear spring. Be sure to also reinstall the counter weights if removed and torque them tight around 25 to 30 foot pounds. Reassemble the front panel and put the spring retainer back on. Tools needed T20 torx driver, 13mm wrench, and needle nose plyers.

Tilt the m/c back and remove the clamp securing the seal to the front of the cabinet, double the seal back inside the washer door opening, and then pull the retaining spring off the inside of the door seal which is fitted in a groove at the back of the seal.
Refit the new seal starting at the topmake sure the seal is fittef the right way up, drainage holes to the bottom.
Work the seal on all the way round the drum, and then roll the spring into the groove at the back of the seal and work it round all the way round the seal, you will find it easier if you have someone to help hold the spring in place..
Refit the seal round the front of the cabinet, and refit clamp at front.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks.
SOURCE: On the regular cycle for Bosch Nexxt 500 series,
If the unit is fed by both hot and cold it is possible that the single hot valve or one side of the double cold valve is not operating. Maybe a silly question but could one of the taps have been turned off inadvertently?
The other possibilty is that the pump filter or outlet hoses are blocked and the machine cannot empty the detergent water ready to refill with clean rinse water. To test the cold valve put the w/m on a cold wash cycle, open the drawer and check the water flow. To test the other part of the same valve, put the w/m on the rinse cycle that would take the softener or a wash cycle with prewash. Test hot valve by selecting the hottest cycle usually 90 or 95 degrees, check water flow thru drawer. Hope this helps.
